worldbeertaste (1803) - West Midlands, - NOV 14, 2012
Deep dark red almost black with a beige thick, creamy lasting head. Smells of nice rich roasted coffee, mocha/coco and malt. Simple but not overpowering. As it warms it gets a stronger smell of chocolate. Smooth full creamy thin body. Nice full bitter taste from start to dry finish. Tastes of vanilla, coffee, and nice roasted malts with chocolate and liquorish. Though its a bit thin, its very enjoyable and a great porter.

ozzatoadisback (154) - ITALY - DEC 14, 2016
Black colour with some reddish hints if seen through light. Good and dense light mocha coloured head. Shows good retention and nice lacing. Aroma has roasted malts, coffee and red fruits. Ok but not that intense. Taste follows the aroma. Bitter and sweet notes are balanced in terms of intensity but not very well integrated. Medium bodied with light carbonation, slightly silky texture. Ok, but modest.

UPDATED: MAY 23, 2016 Bottle at home bought from the brewery shop. Fairly light for a porter with subtle pleasant flavours and mild bitterness. Growing on me as I write. Very enjoyable.
