Pours deep ruby colour with a thin off-white head, which disappears rapidly. Aroma is faint coffee. Taste is sweet, with the coffee flavour hitting the back of the throat, and some dark fruit (raisin?). Texture is oily with a medium carbonation on the tongue. Pretty average beer to be honest, not awful but I cant get too excited about it.

Keg at Banchory Beer Festival. Clear amber/brown body with no head. Aroma of caramel and toffee. Flavour of burnt caramel and brown sugar and stewed apple. Medium body with a sticky mouthfeel. Light fizz. Sweet and delicious.

Smells pungent and malty. Taste is like a strong brit ale. Lots of strength and a slight metallic tinge. Its ok, complex but not really my thing.

Bottle (500ml $7.50) Dark brown with 1 finger head. Taste was more roasted malts than I expected. Only slightly sweet with some bitterness in the end. Very good, but seemed like a cross between a Scotch Ale and a Stout. Seemed light to medium body.
