On tap at the brewpub. There is nothing good about this beer. No aroma, weird cloudy appearence, and dirty dishwater taste - just plain nasty. Did not/could not finish this. Hard to believe that someone that owns/operates a brewpub could make beer this bad and not even be aware of it. JaBier (8253) - Capital City, Ohio, USA - JUL 26, 2011
Sample at the brewpub on 7/23/11. Clear yellow, almost no color at all pour with a thin white head. Aroma of dank malt that’s very faint and watery. Malty and crisp flavor with a thin, dank and watery finish. Not my thing, but could be a great gateway into craft beer for the macro lager drinker. papsdatank (47) - Michigan, USA - JUL 17, 2011
It pours a clear yellow with a not quite fizzy white head, not too bad. The aroma is grassy hops with a little caramel malts, quite boring. Taste follows the nose, not bad but uninteresting. Palate is watery and crisp. I know Black Lotus can do better, they make this beer for the sole purpose of attracting the BMC drinker. JoeMcPhee (9550) - Toronto, ON, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 31, 2010
Tap at the brewpub. Very pale straw-coloured pour. The nose is lightly grainy with a soft herbal hoppiness. Really, remarkably, incredibly bland. It’s not really bad per se, it’s just so incredibly boring. zdk (1917) - New York, New York, USA - SEP 6, 2010
Tap @ Black Lotus - arouma is skunky and grassy. Caramel malts, smooth. Hops are a bit offensive and dry. blah.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear light yellow with a thick white head. Aroma of sweet fruits and grainy malt. Flavor of sweet fruit and light sweet fruits (although it is not too sweet overall). Dry and drinkable. A pretty good pilsener.

On tap at Black Lotus. Neon yellow in color. Aroma is grain with sweet sugar smell, maybe hits of peppermint. Taste is 1 step mostly grainy through out little bitterness. Easy drinker. Pailhead (6543) - Rochester Hills, Michigan, USA - JUL 14, 2007
On tap: The aroma consists of light lemon and grass. It’s a transparent gold/yellow with a small white head. The flavor starts with some light pilsner sweetness and a hint of lemon. It finishes with some light grassy bitterness. Not a big pilsner fan, but this is pretty solid. drfabulous (8575) - Lexington, Kentucky, USA - JUL 5, 2007
While I’m not a pilsner person (too much American pilsner has made me sour on the beer), this one is ok. Light as many decent pilsners are (i.e. Bell’s).
