Bottle from Sprout’s: Poured a bright glowing yellow liquid with some transparency around the edges of white tint. Created a thick development of foam head which quickly simmered down. Aroma is fruity with banana and peace or apricot and smells authentic to real German hefeweizen style which is surprising since this is a brand new brewing company. Although my first pour of the pint was pleasant and having a nice taste of German yeast with all the traditional flavors, the second pour was pure dead yeast and created a pungent taste of vinegar and citrus acid. Usually with hefeweizens you would want to stir up the yeast at the bottom and pour it into your glass, but with this hef I wish I hadn’t. Must taste much better from the tap as opposed to the bottle. Cheap affordable price but the bottle formula needs some work. JohnnyJ (5569) - San Diego, California, USA - OCT 20, 2013

Draught. Aromas of banana, other sour fruit and wheat. Golden orange body with almost no head. Pretty high carbonation and a short finish. Decent flavours, but they end too abruptly. Not too bad, but for mine there are better hefeweizen out there.

On tap at Stone NTC. Pours a hazy golden color, with banana/clove/wheat nose. Flavor is banana and clove with some spices on the back end. Watery and light. Not unique.

Bottle from Total Wine Huntington Beach. No clue on how long it’s been sitting on those shelves, but based on the other bottles I bought probably mid-2012. Anyhoo, this pours a beautiful hazy golden amber. Not as big of a head as I like, but it’s foamy and off-white. Nose is sweet and wheaty, but a bit subdued. Not the in-your-face bubblegum and banana that some hefes are. Some mineral, white grape, pear, and subtle clove spicing. Taste is the same, with the sweet fruity wheat transitioning into canned pear and lightly spicy clove. Mineral throughout. Again, not much in the way of banana or bubblegum. Pours a foggy light brown with big frothy head. Nice lacing. Aromas of clove, spice, banana and bread. Also a little hot phenols in there. Taste is big banana, a little spice, and bread dough. Medium mouthfeel; slightly chewy.
