Pours hazy yellow with nice notes of clove and bananna. The spice shows deep throughout the palate and you have a great sense of texture as well.

A: The pour is a hazy golden orange color with a fluffy white head.

S: Amazingly, this smells like an actual hefeweizen. Lots of cloves, and some banana, though perhaps not as much as I would like. Sweet bread and wheat notes with a mild yeastiness and pepper note.

T: Sweet malts and bread all the way through with lots of spices. Plenty of clove, banana, sweet bread, and wheat. There is a slight citrus peel flavor toward the back end, almost candied orange peel.

M: Medium in body with a low to medium carbonation.

O: A surprisingly decent hefeweizen, but it doesn’t really stand up to an authentic German example.

(Draught at our hotel). Pours cloudy yellow with creamy white head. Aroma has loads of ripe banana, clove, wheat and a bit of bubblegum. Taste is semi-sweet with light bitterness. Medium bodied with thick texture. Smooth, yeasty finish. Pretty good hefeweizen!

A good German style hefeweizen. Pours to a pale orangey yellow (not much foam), with plenty of banana and clove both on the nose and the palate. Drinks well, a little lemony, a little spritzy. Pretty good example overall.

Pretty standard, a bit of spicy clove, a bit of candied banana, hazy yellow color, etc. Good, not great.

Hazy yellow pour from sampler. Nice banana clove thing going on with a nice malt backbone and a little bit sweet. Enjoyable.

This is a strange wheat beer. Seemed to have the same cereal grain weirdness in the Dunkel as well. No banana or clove here and too much sweetness. Pours a pretty yellow color though.

On tap at Stone 9/12/10. Murky pale yellw. Fizzy dense head. Taste is lotsa tart lemon and yeast. Clean with light bitter smack back.

Very nice version of the style. Light hazy yellow with a foamy head. The aroma was sweet malts and clove, banana and other spices. The flavor was similar. Very light and easy to drink. Nicely refreshing for a hot summer day.
