Pours clear pale amber with two fat fingers of fluffy off-white head, good retention and lacing. (4/5) Nose is grainy caramel, grapefruit, pine resin, some stone fruit and light floral. (7/10) Taste is moderate sweet, moderately strong bitter. (7/10) Medium to heavy body, moderate carbonation, slightly syrupy and oily texture, lingering bitter finish. (4/5)
Well, it’s maltier than I’d prefer, but I can’t really call it “malt-forward” like so many other DIPA’s tend to be. I’d call it balanced and even-handed... but I’d still prefer more hop-forward. Good, but short of great. (15/20) reebtogi (6488) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - APR 12, 2015
650ml bomber pours a pale amber color with a generous white head that leaves some decent lacing on the glass. Aroma is pine and grapefruit with some mild caramel and grainy notes. Taste is a bold grapefruit and pine hop bitterness with a light caramel and fruity sweetness. Medium bodied with good carbonation that pleases the palate. Overall, this brew is not quite there with the better DIPA’s, but still is a good one. Braudog (6944) - Yorktown, Virginia, USA - MAR 31, 2015
Bottle. Big and ruddy, with a thick rusty orange hue and a towering foam head. The aroma is thick with sap, wet and mossy bark, and bitter hops. The beer drinks with the same mushy, northwestern forest flavors. (#5952, 3/30/2015) alberti92 (159) - - FEB 11, 2015
Bottle from cellarbrations super store in hami hill. Pours a hazy orange with a creamy head and leaves nice lacing. On the nose there's pine, apricots, citrus and a subtle honey sweetness. Body is medium and carbonation is on the lower end of the scale. Taste is quite aggressive. Heaps of citrus, tang, apricots, grass. Subtle malt sweetness also comes through as well. Really liked this one! Artistdave (65) - Austin, USA - OCT 18, 2014
22 oz bomber...real green tasting...not the best charateristeic...muddy haze orange...not infected but just a wierd thing going on. Not the type of IPA I am used to.

Pours dark golden lots of head and some lacing. Nose is earthy bitterness and some fruit. Flavours of stone fruit, some Cheerios. Taste medium bitter med/liguât s’aérer. Full body with lively carbonations. Maris (1626) - Canberra, AUSTRALIA - OCT 9, 2014
From a 650ml bottle on 9/10/2014. Pours an opaque dark golden with a smallish head. Has a pleasant if not spectacular fruity hop aroma with some light caramel notes. The flavour gives you quite a bit of sweet citrus and stone fruit (mandarin, apricot) and a touch of honey, set off against a mild caramel malt background. There’s a decent but not over the top bitterness at the end with some resin lingering quite prominently at the back. The texture is syrupy and the carbonation is moderate. Very easy to drink for the size. This is a very solid and enjoyable DIPA but just lacks the character and focus of the very best brews in this style. Tap - Toronado - Seattle - Terrific Double IPA good hops forward flavor and finish. andrewje41 (4649) - Kenmore, Washington, USA - JUL 6, 2014
Draft pour. Very bottom of the keg so this could change next time. Pours thick with a solid caramel color. This beer is almost all caramel flavors with a bitter hop finish. Pretty heavy beer. Overall, decent beer, and good flavor to it. fiulijn (21523) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 22, 2014
Draught at Chuck’s Hop Shop, 85th st, Seattle
Hazy amber color. The caramel dominates, yet it’s lean, and then the powerful and resiny hopping happens; long final.
