22 oz. bottle, courtesy of manuchampions (thanks Jon), pours a hazy dark orange with a medium white head. Aroma is rich on piney and resinous hops, and a bit caramel malt backbone, like many others. Flavour is medium-hoppy for a west coast IIPA, with lots of resinous hops, a whopping caramel malt backbone, making the palate quite chewy for a IIPA. Finishes quite astringent and very malty. Fairly well-balanced, but not so complex or with a high drinkability, as with the maltiness gets a bit overbearing. Solid, but unspectacular IIPA.

Pours a orange red with thin off white head. Aroma is tar pine hops and malt. Taste is vibrantly bitter but with a lovely malt back. Alcohol well worked. Quite lovely.

23 nov 3012, bottle. Light amber, clear, some sediment. Nose is orange rind, tree bark, and something that reminds me of pickles. Thin body and moderately fizzy. Very dry grapefruit rind, faintly oily, pithy. Nice but a bit astringent. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

It has a good aftertaste, but when it first hits it has an overpowering alcohol taste (like a vodka). Other than that, the hops are well balanced and has a nice malty finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Strong fresh hop aroma coming off a clear golden orange body with a wispy white head. Astringent, pungent, resiny bitterness bombards the tongue with delicious grapefruit and citrus pith. Just as you think this it’s going to continue this bitter laceration, along comes a nice caramel and honey sweetness that pushes back against this assault. Ultimately the hops win this battle and lay down a palate scraping grassy, pithy dryness that lasts long after the sip is done. This is dangerously easy to drink and I think the hops are masking the 9.5% ABV. Even with that knowledge, I’m glad I only have 1 bottle right now since I’d be tempted to crack open another.

Bomber from Bine & Vine. Pours hazy copper with a foamy off-white head. Citrus/pine aroma over a little roast caramel. Med + body. Flavor is citrus/pine/caramel. Finishes that with a bit of added floral. It’s pretty tasty stuff.

A - Pours a slightly hazy copper-orange with a finger of frothy white head. The head fades down at a normal pace leaving behind some nice lacing. S - Aroma is a mix of grapefruit, tropical, citrus, pine, and grassy hops with some sweet caramel and biscuit malts and a touch of booze. T - Starts off with a mix of grapefruit, tropical, and citrus hops with some bitterness and sweet caramel malts. Through the middle, pine and grassy hops come through with some more resiny bitterness and a touch of biscuit malts. The finish is a mix of grapefruit and pine hops with some resiny bitterness, sweet caramel malts, and a hint of booze. M - Medium-plus bodied with moderate carbonation. Feels smooth with a dry, bitter, and lightly sweet finish. D - Very drinkable. Good overall balance with a nice hop profile and bitterness throughout.

On tap. Pours with a hazed golden orange hued body with a lasting foamy just off-white head. Good retention. Aroma shows a lot of caramel malt, noticeable VDKs, herbaceous and citrus hop character. Lasting butterscotch. Flavors are sweet and fruity with a lot of crystal malt like character. Herbal and citrusy hop character. Medium carbonation, fuller body and very sweet.

22oz bottle. Rating #4. Hazy dark brown color with a tan head. Sweet citrus aroma after a bit of pine from the initial sniff. Nice flavor, more sweetness, but it’s more tropical on the tongue, mild aftertaste at first, but that gained strength as I sat and continued to drink. Pretty nice. (2534)
