3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
At Volo IPA challenge. Appearance: Dark orange, quite hazy with a small dirty white head. Aroma: Hoppy, apples and citrus, smells pretty decent. Flavour: Medium bitterness, grainy, a little herbal with decent hoppy finish. Would drink quite a few in a session with no fatigue!
Cask at Volo IPA Challenge. Pours a slightly cloudy amber with a spare bubbly off-white head. Slightly mild aroma of fruity and resiny hops, a bit herbal and more fruit. Nice hoppy and fruity flavour with a really big bitter finish. Average to medium bodied. Great stuff. mabel (9246) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - APR 29, 2012

(#3 IPA Challenge @ Volo, Toronto, ON)
A hazed orange amber IPA with a thin fluffy off white head. In aroma, a strange sweet doughy malt, a tad cloying, strange fruit esters. In mouth, a rather grassy malt with grainy notes, rye, grassy hops, medium bodied. Cask at Ontario Cask IPA Challenge, April 21, 2012. jercraigs (10374) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - APR 25, 2012
2012-04-21. Lovely sweet citrus aroma over a light green hop vegetation. Hazy dark orange body with a small off-white head. Flavour has a modest bitterness, disappointing mild citrus compared to the aroma, green leafy vegetation, light astringency in the finish. 6+ Average palate with light carbonation. Smelled great so the flavour was a bit of a disappointment. Would like to try this one again on tap and a little clearer as it shows potential, and perhaps the flavour would catch up to the flavour. Blind Tasting on Cask at Volo IPA Challenge

Bar Volo IPA Challenge finalist.Cloudy yellow with a thin white head. Apollo hops, also used for aromatic hops, and dry hopped the same. A little dry, hop pellet bitter. Good drinkability. Mild hop aroma. Middling mouthfeel, very satisfying IPA.
