[5140-20130305] Cask. Grainy malt and light pepper aroma. Murky, brown body with no lasting head. Jalapeno peppery grains flavour. Medium body is under-carbonated. Interesting, has a kind of cumulative effect with the heat. (7/3/7/3/13) 3.3

March 5, 2013 - at C’est What, on cask. Somewhat muddy/hazy reddish brown with a minimal froth beige head. Weird aroma - vaguely sour, with cocoa ... like a slightly sour brown ale? Tastes like a fruity dark Belgian - sweet, yeasty - but with noticeable 98% cocoa chocolate, very earthy - strangely, I really like it - 7+ ... thick, chewing, undercarbonated, with an earthy not too sweet almost bitter finish - for some reason it pushed my buttons - not great, but quite enjoyable.

At Black Oak tap takeover at C’est What. Aroma is overly alcohol, medicinal as well. Quite a strange brew.

2013-03-05. Murky Hazy brown body small tan head fades. Very sweet aroma has a character that is sort of like molasses or malt extract. 6+ Flavour is similarly sweet with a lightly tangy quality to it, fruity. Smooth average to light body is under carbonated. 3+ Not sure the cask is quite ready, or perhaps it is just not suited to a cask presentation, bit muddled. On cask at C’est What, Toronto
