650 ml bottle from the brewery. It’s cloudy and yellow, with nice lasting white head. Smells like caramel and grainy malt, hops, citrus. Taste is grainy malt, mild bitterness, could use some more hoppiness. I wouldn’t call it bright and juicy, but it does hit some citrus notes.

July 25, 2014 - at Bar Hop - on draught. Oily-looking hazy gold with a decent creamy/foamy off-white head. Aroma is simple and light - heather and honey (very sweet) - more like a slightly hoppy pils than an APA; ever so slight hints of tropical fruit and citrus - way more grassy really. Taste follows - also very wan, light malt and bitterness (and alcohol) - just okay - not much "there" there - ponderous if characterless bitterness as it warms; a little disjointed. Thick, chewy, very astringent - a little still - hardly any real flavour, but massively and off-puttingly bitter. Wouldn’t want to drink it again, really.

sudomorph (1175) - Barrie, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 20, 2016
UPDATED: AUG 20, 2016 Draft at Barvolo. Pours a clear golden yellow with a thin, white head that sticks to the glass. Aroma has smooth notes of resin, pine, citrus, slight grain, and caramel. Taste is balanced with notes of orange citrus, pine, resin, bread, caramel, and a bit of tropical fruits at the end. Medium body and carbonation. Mild resiny in the mouth with a dry finish. Overall a nice, easy drinking beer at 4.5%. Resin, citrus, pine, bread, and caramel. Nice.

On tap at session Muskoka. hazy orange, small white head. Biscuity malts, subtle, in behind some nice citrus zest. Hops are there but soft, and a little muddled. Malts kinda take over and hops fade. Low bitterness, hint of grapefruit pith bitterness, with some floral hop cones, and bready malts in the end.

Growler from Summerhill LCBO. Pours a cloudy deep golden colour with lasting white head. Aroma is equal parts citrus peel and pine as well as some pale malt. Flavour is similarly hop forward with juicy tropical fruit, grapefruit zest and pine resin with some gentle sweet maltiness. Pleasant.

A golden ale with a thin white head. In aroma, nice biscuit malt with citrusy floral hops, grapefruit pulp, very nice. In mouth, a nice biscuit malt with resinous floral hops, well balanced and discrete, grapefruit pulp, nice. On tap at Wellington Gastropub.

Sampled at Roundhouse Craft Beer Fest, near the end of the afternoon, when the sun & beer & bad cover bands have done their damage (but seeng those two girls do that thing with the sprinkler was inspiring). Woman at the booth called this an "experimental session pale ale" but there’s nothing experimental here because it has been done over & over & over & over & it makes you wonder if Ontario craft brewers are ever going to stop making watery hopped up session APA/IPAs.

22 oz bottle courtesy of Chris, served in a a stem glass. Pours hazy golden-amber with a medium beige head that remains and leaves a small amount of fine lace. The nose has big grapefruit and citrus peel, along with pine, pale malts and subtle tropical fruit. The flavour is mildly sweet and moderately bitter with pale malt, fruit, lemon and huge grapefruit peel notes that build towards a long and moderately bitter finish. On the palate it is light-medium in body with a smooth watery texture and soft carbonation. Overall a nice session pale with big citrus peel. 2014-08-16

Bottle at my uncle’s place. A nice mellow orange pour with a beige head of foam. A more complex hop aroma than their normal pale ale: resin, piney goodness. Classic rough sharp plate scraping carbonation. Medium bodied with a bitter hoppy taste, somewhat one-noted but good enough just not my cup of tea.

Pale golden pour with a thin white head. The nose is intensely fruity and hoppy. Bright berry and tropical fruit. Pineapple and light cherry along with a lean malt profile. Assertive bitterness (really in IPA territory) but with a lot of aromatics. A whiff of blueberry even pops up. Tasty brew.
