[4792-20120918] Cask. Spicy chai infused grains aroma. Murky, brown roan body with a quick bubbly head. Smooth buttery tea chai spices in the flavour with a lingering aftertaste. Medium body. Great to sample, interesting chai notes. (7/3/7/3/13) 3.3

From notes at Bar Volo – on cask. Pours a cloudy brown colour with almost no head. Aroma is of herbal tea and sweet caramel malts. Flavour is sweet and malty, nuanced spices. blankboy (7808) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 9, 2012
Cask, Black Oak Tap Takeover at Volo. Sep. 18. Pours murky as hell! Brown with no head. Nice aroma with lots of chai, spice and tea along with some caramel malt and light sweetness. Sweet and malty flavour along with some spice and not much else. Average bodied. I quite like the aroma but the flavour’s only O.K., it’s too sweet for me. On cask at the Only (Toronto Beer Week 2012 event). Pours a clearish orange brown with small off white head. Aroma is big chai and other spice. Flavour has chai, other spice and some malty sweetness. Interesting sort of bitterness in finish. Interesting but not something I’d drink in large quantities. jercraigs (10886) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 30, 2012
2012-09-18. Murky brown boy, tiny beige head. Aroma is relatively mild, almost a sweet hot chocolate like quality to it but not really. Mild, sweet, non-descript malt, modest spice (chai?) 6+ Flavour is similar, sort of spicy, sweet base, light bitterness in the finish. Average plus palate. Okay, chai is enjoyable but not entirely to my tastes. Cask, Black Oak Tap Takeover at Volo, Toronto
