The beer pours a solid coca-cola colour with a creamy tan head that laces well. The aroma is coffee, chocolate, and raisins. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied, and medium carbonation. The flavour is cold coffee with added sugar. Quite enjoyable.
From notes. On cask, pours a cloudy opaque brown with a lasting slight tan head. Aroma of dark roast malt, nuts, slightly herbal with coffee. Flavour is coffee, spices and nuts, with some woody notes. Slightly dry finish. HogTownHarry (7064) - Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, CANADA - SEP 11, 2012
November 11, 2011 - gravity cask at the brewery. Deep almost opaque brown with a lovely lasting tan/light brown frothy head. Smells exactly what a porter should - dark roast, dry, nutty, herbal, some coffee character, not sweet or syrupy - plus a little cream and mint leaf - terrific aroma. Taste is all about dry acidic coffee - this may be decaf, but the coffee character is stellar, almost some cinnamon, brazilnut shell and even oak tannin - I am in danger of giving this a stupidly high score, it’s simply wonderful! Light mouthfeel, very mild carbonation - finishes dry, slightly astringent and acidic, and leaves a dry herbal roasty aftertaste. blankboy (7788) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 31, 2012
Cask at the brewery. Nov. 11, 2011. Pours a very dark brown with some ruby hues and a small lasting bubbly light-brown head. Aroma is big time coffee first and foremost followed by light roasted malt and just a hint of hops -- that’s pretty much it, it’s all coffee all the time. Flavour’s the same: Coffee, coffee, coffee and...some malt way in the back. Roasty bitter finish. Average to medium bodied. If you like coffee then you’ll like this -- and I like coffee.

Cask at C’est What. Deep black pour with a thick tan head. The aroma is quite coffee laden. Moderate coffee roast and a little bit of blackberry chewiness. Light fruit along with some dark licorice type flavour. There is also a lingering bitterness. Dark chocolate and a little bit of vegetal component as well. A touch of light lingering sweetness. Decent balance.

Appearance brownish black brew with creamy tanned brownish top. neat appearance. 4-
Flavor and Palate : medium bodied. Smooth ,clean with mild predisposition. Gentle barley roast noted by coffee elements. Nicely brewed with great drinkability. Gentle late warmth of alcohol. Solid offering.
[4091-20111111] Cask. Roasted coffee ground malt aroma. Black brown body with a quick foamy brown head. Light ginger-infused roast coffee grounds flavour has something hinting at a sour note. Medium-full body. Tasty, repeatable. (7/3/8-/4/16) 3.8

2011-11-11. Black body with a modest tan head. 3+ Dry roasty coffee aroma is nice but very coffee dominant. 7+ Flavour is quite dry, with a lot of roasty coffee character, muted dark malt. Average bodied palate. Some nice coffee overtones, but it the coffee is a bit intense for me. Cask at the brewery
