UPDATED: SEP 19, 2012 smells a little like cherry, a little like coffee, though the latter is much more prevalent. Palate cimes off a little thin, not a huge body here. Pours black with big head that dies down quick. On tap at volos

On tap. Black pour, big tan head. Aroma is cocoa, coffee. The cherries don't really show up until it warms, so definitely not overpowering. Medium body. I'm not getting much of anything off this, although it does have a unique cocoa finish. Like real cocoa mom used to make in a pot, except without the sugar. Slight sour cherry on the finish. It's solid but there's something missing. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

2 year old bottle from my cellar. Pours a deep black with a frothy mocha head which settles down to a fine lace. Aromas of cocoa nibs, cocoa powder, milk chocolate & sour cherries. Cocoa, bittersweet chocolate on the palate with a great sour cherry flavour. Nice roasted bitterness on the finish. I truly wish this was made all year round!

UPDATED: DEC 6, 2011 On Tap at BarVolo. Pours dark brown with a light brown head. Aroma of dark malt, syrup and coffee, not too much cherry. flavour is syrup and dark chocolate with muted cherry flavour. somewhat tart. watery mouth-feel. Felt that the cherry flavour was interesting but not all that well integrated. Meanwhile body was pretty light and watery.

Pours a inky black with a big almond head that quickly disappears. Aroma of rich roasty malts, sweet chocolate and a hint of cherry. This is what I like about this beer. The cherry isn’t overpowering, in fact you have to look for it. It’s a great sweet stout with roasted malts and dark chocolate bitterness. Then there is a slight sweetness of the cherry that comes in and balances the beer nicely. I’m not a big stout fan but I could drink the hell out of this.

Draft. Pours a dark bruin body with a tan head. Dry and roast y body upfront then relaxes with chocolate sweetness, light minerals and a hint of sweet fudge. Cherries are pretty subdued with just a hint of fruit sweetenss and a light drying body. Pretty good.
