Post-goût moyen-long, moyennement amer de rôti, moyen de café et de chocolat noir, légèrement aigre de fruits (cerises) avec de faibles notes métalliques et des traces de fumée de bois. i got a lot of cherries in the nose from the initial pour....much less in the flavor. very subtle underneath a very basic sweet/milk stout flavor. nothing special...but not bad either. a nice easy drinking stout. kenb (1102) - Oregon, USA - JAN 29, 2008
12 oz bottle via Homebrew Myst Swap (thanks Rudolf!). A nice black pour with a huge tan head. Nose is chocolate, roasted grains, caramel. Taste starts and ends sweet, with some caramel, cocoa, oats, vanilla, and a little coffee and soy. The cherries are there but a fairly subtle, perhaps a bit too subtle.Hops are not real noticeable. Carbonation is moderately high, body is light. sliffy (2041) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - JAN 11, 2008
Bottle thanks to my festivus master: Pours black with a big tan head leaving nice lacing. Aroma, chocolate, bittersweet chocolate, roasted notes, faint cherries in the nose, though they were more apparent when first poured. Flavor, dark chocolate, roasted notes, tart cherry notes on the finish, roasty and ashy bitterness on the tail end. Not bad, but not very sweet. Kevin (2218) - Montana, USA - NOV 26, 2007

Bottle courtesy of Hogtownharry: Poured a deep black color stout with a nice foamy head with some average retention and no lacing. Aroma of deep cacao with some very subtle non-sweet cherries. Taste is dominated by deep chocolate notes with some very subtle cherries and some nice bitter roasted malt notes at the end. Body is a bit light for the style with some medium carbonation. Interesting but missing a bit of character to take this to the other level. 1FastSTi (3359) - Glendale, Wisconsin, USA - OCT 9, 2007
Thanks Jason. The beer pours to a thin looking blackish brown body with no head. The aroma is dark chocolate and light cherries. The flavor is cocoa powder and cheap malt. Generic tartness. Flat powdery dry palate. Ughsmash (7503) - Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA - OCT 4, 2007
Bottle, thanks to HogTownHarry! Poured black with a short-lived cap of tan head. The aroma picked up tart cherry skins on top of darker chocolates with some flaked oats.. nice blend of components. The flavor wasn’t as good.. tart, artificially-sweetened cherries hit the tip of the tongue.. dark chocolates, cocoa, and oats at the core, but seemed to lack substance.. sour cherry juice above all else, with some dry oxidized notes at the end. This just wasn’t so good. piscator34 (2707) - Winnipeg, Manitoba, CANADA - SEP 11, 2007
Bottled sample via gregclow. Black in colour with fairly strong carbonation. Aromas of roasted malt, chocolate, toffee, and mild fruit. Flavors of cherry woodsmoke, caramel, and light roasted malt. Medium bodied. I’d like a bit more body and a bit more malt, but this is a good attempt and quite drinkable. fordest (2469) - Santee/San Diego, California, USA - SEP 6, 2007
12 oz bottle shared with toncatcher. Nice dark pour with decent tan head. Some Chocolate and cherry on the aromas. Smelled like weak cordial cherries. Flavor fell way off for me though. Flavors were still there, but just didn’t hit me the way the aromas did. Funny finish that didn’t really seem to belong to this beer.
