A dark brown pour with hints of red around the rim. Off white head and lace. Cherries chocolate and sour dominate the nose. Coffee, lite cherries and a medium bitter dominate the flavor. A tad foamy and thin. Drinkable with a decent bitter. pretty good beer. JPDIPSO (6257) - Wauwatosa, USA - SEP 11, 2005
Very dark brown with a foamy half inch of tan bubbles. Rich roasted malt and a hint of cherry. Sweet roasted malt flavors mingle with mildly sweet cherry juice. Somewhat like eating a dark black forest cake. Seems quite simple, but no real flaws. Thanks jerc. Mora2000 (6158) - McKinney, Texas, USA - JUL 9, 2013
Thanks to thirdeye11 for sharing this bottle. Dark brown pour with a tan head. The aroma is full of very bitter chocolate with some roasted malt and a bit of cherry. The flavor is bitter cocoa, chocolate and roasted malt. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Rciesla (5499) - Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA - APR 4, 2011
Draft. Pours a dark bruin body with a tan head. Dry and roast y body upfront then relaxes with chocolate sweetness, light minerals and a hint of sweet fudge. Cherries are pretty subdued with just a hint of fruit sweetenss and a light drying body. Pretty good. Beershine (5224) - VANCOUVER, British Columbia, CANADA - APR 6, 2008
Bottle, thanks to Oakes. Dark black-brown-red with aromas of Black Forest Cake. Soft body, nice cakey flavors. Good stuff, they either nailed it or named it well.

Bottle at Mondial 2010. Pours a nice deep rich pitch midnight black with a very dark charcoal brown/gray head. Aroma is oily dark chocolate, toast, anise, nuts, and big fresh chocolate covered cherry with slight cherry juice as it warms. Flavor is chocolate, toast, nuts, caramel sweetness light honey, molasses, dark chocolate, cherry juice is prominent esp in the back of the throat with a slight slickness but overall this was pretty good. robinvboyer (4719) - Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 30, 2009
On Tap At C’est What? A deep black pour, nice aroma of roasted malt, and dark chocolate, with a very subtle, but still there, sweet cherry. Flavor is more of a stout, but a well made one. The cherry is there in the aroma, but i can’t really detect it much more anywhere else. All in all though, a nice drinking stout. TomDecapolis (4618) - Milton, Delaware, USA - OCT 24, 2010
Thanks to Josh for sharing this bottle. Pours a deep black with a medium creamy tan head that laced. Aroma of you guessed it, cherries and chocolate. Actually a nice tart cherry nose. Also getting some caramel and lightly roasted malt character. Flavor of again the cherry meets chocolate mix. The cherry is kind of a tart pit cherry and the chocolate is kind of dark chocolate. Nicely done. IrishBoy (4224) - Bakersfield, California, USA - MAR 28, 2008
