Bottle thanks to my festivus master: Pours black with a big tan head leaving nice lacing. Aroma, chocolate, bittersweet chocolate, roasted notes, faint cherries in the nose, though they were more apparent when first poured. Flavor, dark chocolate, roasted notes, tart cherry notes on the finish, roasty and ashy bitterness on the tail end. Not bad, but not very sweet. Bottle sample thanks to Milos- A deep brown pour with a frothy mocha cap. Nose of fresh cherries and dark chocolate, coffee, some roasted malts. Tastes sweet, of dark chocolate with some anise and pit fruits. FInishes with bitter coffee/chocolate and a pleasing cherry aftertaste. Very good. tomthompson89 (1983) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 15, 2007

Bottle provided by csbosox. Pours dark brown with some dark red hues. Brown head that mostly fades. Roast, coffee, molasses, cherry, and cocoa powder in the nose. Pretty chocolaty with light roasted character. Bitter finish with some tartness. Light body. High carbonation. Dry finish that lingers a bit. Interesting enough but not something to get excited about.

Poures a dead black in the tulip...decent mocha cap reduces quickly but laces well...low cabonation
Aromas are plenty and complex, cocoa, roasted and roasted grains, fruit, hay and a light mustiness.
Medium bodied for a stout, large dose of the cocoa and roast in the front then a rush a tart berry tastes and some spicy hopping...longish wet finish with light sweetness and some char.
Excellent specialty porter that is very drinkable. DerWeg (1748) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - APR 11, 2007
On tap at BeerBistro. Very nice light cocoa notes, hint of roast, really didn’t taste cherry or it was masked in the sweetish ale fruit tones. A stout with a sweet personality, although I assumed the ’cherry’ had nothing to do with what was in it. GMCC2181 (1617) - Newark, Delaware, USA - MAY 29, 2008
Bottle from Matt7215! Pours a black color, small head, smell of coffee and roasted malt. Flavor is the same, roasted malt, coffee but a lingering sweetness (cherry) in the aftertaste. Medium texture for a stout. Not bad but nothing special eithier. Thanks again Matt! SuzyGreenberg (1604) - Seattle, Washington, USA - APR 16, 2008
12 oz. bottle - thanks to matt7215 for the trade; pours thin and brownish black with no head; aromas of roasted malts, nuts and chocolate; cherry addition comes off on the minor end in both aromas and flavors; they do are a slight tartness to the aftertaste; flavors are mostly nuts and chocolate joeycapps (1468) - Waterdown, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 9, 2005
Very dark brown w/ frothy brown foam. Roasty, dark chocolate aroma w/ a light cherry fruitiness in the background. Medium-full-bodied w/ light acidic touches.
Rich, roasty, chocolate cake flavour w/ a subtle cherry tartness. Well-balanced w/ a surprisingly bitter, earthy finish.
