VEyr good, nice chocolate flavour and cherry features. Dark and heavy but excellent foam with some dark features. MrBendo (1064) - Swedesboro, New Jersey, USA - JUN 28, 2007
Thanks to HogTownHarry for the bottle. Pours near black with a large head. Good retention. Good lacing. Aroma was mostly chocolate with a bit of coffee. Tastes sweet and rich; chocolate and lactose. A bit of cherry, but I was really surprised at how subtle it is. If I weren’t searching for cherries, I’m not sure I would have found them. Mostly sweet with some sour (cherry) taste in there. It’s a fine sweet stout, though. Kevin (2200) - Montana, USA - NOV 26, 2007

341 ml bottle. pours black/dark brown. very little head that is quickly gone. some mild levels of carbonation. aromas are dark chocolate and cherries. flavours are initially bitter with soothing chocolate coming through near the end. no cherry in the flavour. a bit thin but this brew gets considerably better as it warms. a very drinkable stout. Been wanting to try this one for a while now, and thanks to mcbackus, I finally get to! Pours black with a red hue. Aroma has a slight chocolate scent, with sour cherry more apparent. Disappointingly watery on the palate, but has a good sour cherry flavor, with a little chocolate mixed in, and a creamy texture that I really enjoyed. A little too thin and weak for a beer that I was hoping would be strong and full of flavor, but still a treat to try. Tastes pretty close to Bells cherry stout, and that isn’t all that bad!

I don’t like fruit beers. But this was exquisite. Not a thick stout really, was more like a porter, but luckily porter is my favorite style. Chocolate and cherry flavours are obvious but well-blended into the malt and hops. This might just be one of the best tasting drinks I’ve ever had. Bottle at Mondial 2010. Pours a nice deep rich pitch midnight black with a very dark charcoal brown/gray head. Aroma is oily dark chocolate, toast, anise, nuts, and big fresh chocolate covered cherry with slight cherry juice as it warms. Flavor is chocolate, toast, nuts, caramel sweetness light honey, molasses, dark chocolate, cherry juice is prominent esp in the back of the throat with a slight slickness but overall this was pretty good. neuromatt (1225) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 22, 2010
On tap at Chancey Smith’s in London, Ontario, served in a shaker glass. Pours dark black with a tall, dense, frothy tan head. The head fades very slowly and leaves lots of dense lace. The nose has aromas of dark bitter chocolate, dark malt, slight coffee and a hint of cherry. The flavour is moderately sweet throughout with notes of chocolate and lots of sour cherry. It is full in body with a creamy smooth texture and soft carbonation. Overall, this is a very nice sweet stout with a nice cherry accent and chocolate background. 2010-10-22 jyoungsbcp (6) - Limerick, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 24, 2010 does not count
