HopsandBolts (258) - Ontario, CANADA - MAR 21, 2015
650 ml bottle from the LCBO.

Appearance: Pours a clear copperish brown with very little head.

Aroma: Malt, cereal, caramel, hint of smoke.

Flavours: Cereal, caramel, hops, tobacco, bit of mango.

Mouthfeel: Creamy with moderate carbonation.

Overall: I like this one for the malt/hop balance and the subtle nuances in flavour. Some of the other Black Oak beers Ive tried have been hit and miss so I wasnt sure what to expect with this one. It didnt disappoint. This is a really nice Imperial IPA.
