Appearance: Pours a
clear copperish brown with very little head.
Malt, cereal, caramel, hint of smoke.
Cereal, caramel, hops, tobacco, bit of mango.
Creamy with moderate carbonation.
Overall: I like this one for the malt/hop balance and the subtle nuances in flavour. Some of the other Black Oak beers I’ve tried have been hit and miss so I wasn’t sure what to expect with this one. It didn’t disappoint. This is a really nice Imperial IPA.
Bouteille 650 ml. 8%. Couleur ambrée, mousse beige pâle. Arôme de houblon résineux, caramel. En bouche, malt, houblons, conifères, résines, notes d’alcool, un peu d’agrumes, caramel. Finale assez sèche, amertume qui s’étend. Très bonne. YogiBeera (2569) - New Jersey, USA - MAR 14, 2015
