Cloudy golden color with a lot of floaties; small head. Strange aroma: lemon, soap, rosemary, heather. The mouthfeel is rather dry; no notable malt flavor; strong bitterness; but it has a soapy character, and herbs, and some citrus peel.
Weird, hardly pleasant.
On tap at Brouwer’s Cafe for Hopfest, pours clear golden with a white head. Aroma of dry citrusy hops, bitter orange peel with a slight malt backing. Flavour is quite zesty, with dry citrusy hops and a dry, bitter finish. Excellent IPA. bhensonb (15194) - Woodland, California, USA - FEB 27, 2012
Bomber from Malt & Vine. Pours golden amber with a near white head. Whoosh! The aroma is so hoppy. Floral/resin/citrus/fruit. I think it’s all there. This must be a hop head’s dream. Med+ body. Flavor is very complex. I’d swear there was onion in this, over and above floral/resin/citrus/fruit. Onion’s a veg, right? There is some clean sweet caramel for backbone, but this is so hoppy it almost burns like capsaicin. Finish is almost cactus flavor with so much hop. My idea is that heat goes with cactus. Forget that. This is really complexly hoppy. Amazing stuff! Drinks fantastically tasty. Ratman197 (14838) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - JAN 31, 2012
Bomber poured a clear gold with a lasting creamy white head. Aromas of skunk bud, lemon zest, straw, pine, grapefruit and light orange zest. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of straw, skunk bud, lemon zest, rye, pine, grapefruit and orange zest with a smooth dry bitter lingering citrus finish. bu11zeye (13029) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - DEC 1, 2012

Bomber from Tavour. Big nose of citrus, spicy and soapy hops. Some tropical fruit in there as well...more in the flavor. Sorachi Ace is a weird hop with a citrus IPA, but it works here. Moderately bitter with a dry bittersweet finish. deyholla (11604) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - JUL 3, 2015
On tap at the Hop Shop Ballard. Pours a clear yellow gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a combination of earthy and sweet citrus with a straw backbone. Flavor has more sweet citrus with a bit of bitterness and a straw backbone. tderoeck (9710) - Gent, BELGIUM - NOV 3, 2014

Clear blond beer, creamy irregular head, little stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: very fruity, citrus, mango, passion fruits, pineapple, sweet, ripe exotic fruits. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: citrus, pineapple, nice bitterness, fruity, passion fruits, sweet malts. Aftertaste: grapefruit, bitter, citrus, very fruity, hoppy. Lovely stuff!
Bottle thanks to glkaiser; bottling date 09/16/13. Pour is crystal clear orange, small off-white head, creamy with nice lacing. Aroma is citrus, passionfruit, cat piss, dank dank. Flavor is the same, but not unfortunately as clean as the aroma, light sweet, light bitter, pine resins and a bit of rye bite. Medium body, a bit oily. Nice effort. after4ever (8025) - Mukilteo, Washington, USA - FEB 7, 2013
22. Whether it’s pour or package seems to be a crucial distinction with this beer. Pours a slightly hazy medium gold with decent carb and some loose sudsy whitish head. Drippy lace. Bright and appealing orange rind nose, but nowhere near the intensity you might expected from a celebrated fresh dipa. Bottle shock? Creamy medium body with lively carb. Toasty caramel, doughy mid-palate with some resiny hop bite on top of that. Kind of another well-made big hoppy ale in this format.
