22oz bottle shared - really nice pour, clear golden with a puffy white head. tons of citrus obviously, but also orange sorbet and pipping tobacco. bright and lively body with a nice little dry citrus finish. Really refreshing and different, I will seek these bottles out for the summer for sure. bmerz (741) - Brooklyn, New York, USA - DEC 18, 2013
Bottle. Pours a very clear light color with a big soft head and some lace, lasting. Aroma is lemon zest, lemon pith, a bit of white bread. Flavor is very lightly sweet and mostly pithy with a citrus tart finish. It’s pretty well balanced. The feeling is soft and moderately lively. Not really a standout in any aspect but it rounds out nicely into something quite drinkable and refreshing. bytemesis (9811) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - NOV 11, 2013
Bottle thanks to glkaiser; bottling date 09/16/13. Pour is crystal clear orange, small off-white head, creamy with nice lacing. Aroma is citrus, passionfruit, cat piss, dank dank. Flavor is the same, but not unfortunately as clean as the aroma, light sweet, light bitter, pine resins and a bit of rye bite. Medium body, a bit oily. Nice effort. 22 oz bomber poured into a pint glass. Pours dark golden with thick white head. Aroma is fresh citrus hops and a hint of malt. Taste is similar - light clean malt with well-balanced fresh citrus, piney hops. Clean finish with quickly fading bitterness. Quite different from Trickster and other Black Raven IPAs - much lighter malt bill, similarly fresh hops though not as bitter. Probably not as good as Trickster overall, but quite good nonetheless. harrymel (1551) - Spokane, Washington, USA - NOV 1, 2013
Golden with a rim of whites, okay looking. Smells like citra hops (BO, onion, lemon), there’s a pineapple gummy bear in the back as well. Flavor is bitter with plenty of pithy hops and a decent dry malt. Medium bodied with moderated carbonation. Overall an okay beer, but nothing I would be back for. It really meets the flavor of the IPA lately, so those that love the Citra hop, imbibe.

Solid citrus-forward IPA. Primary notes are orange and lemon, over a good malt base with bitterness coming in at the end. Smooth, and highly drinkable! B+

Thanks to 5000 for sending me this bottle. Yellow with a white head. Aroma is citrus, yeast and biscuit malt. Flavor is heavy on the citrus, with some iced team notes also coming through. There is also a hint of pine as well as some grassiness. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. after4ever (8025) - Mukilteo, Washington, USA - FEB 7, 2013
22. Whether it’s pour or package seems to be a crucial distinction with this beer. Pours a slightly hazy medium gold with decent carb and some loose sudsy whitish head. Drippy lace. Bright and appealing orange rind nose, but nowhere near the intensity you might expected from a celebrated fresh dipa. Bottle shock? Creamy medium body with lively carb. Toasty caramel, doughy mid-palate with some resiny hop bite on top of that. Kind of another well-made big hoppy ale in this format. Aubrey (3517) - Bellingham, Washington, USA - FEB 2, 2013
Tasty beer, for sure, but it wasn’t what I expected. I expected lots of CITRUS, but I only detected a little, mainly in the finish (blended with the bitterness). I did, however, get a big blast of perfume, rose petals and plant stems. Malts were bready, cracker-like and complementing enough. But the citrus characteristics were not as bold as they’re made out to be, especially with a name like Citrus IPA. Regardless, it’s a solid beer.
