Sample at the brewpub. Pours brown with a medium thin dense tan head that dissipates slowly to an outer ring. Small patches of lacing on the glass. Sweet roasty malt and coffee in the nose. Light body with a sweet malty character and notes of mild coffee, chocolate and caramel. The finish is sweet and malty with a hint of hops in the aftertaste. Draft pour pint at the brewery. Pours a dark reddish brown color with a cream foam head. Mild nutty, chocolate aroma. Flavor is a nice roasted flavor with hints of coffee. Chocolate candy in the late palate. Has a bitterness to it in the finish as well. Enjoy the toasty flavor here. Good brown here. Or porter? Not sure. It’s good though.
