Clear amber color with a white sheen. Nice pine sap hoppy aroma. medium body. Pine and grapefruit hop flavors on a thin caramel malt base. Nicely bitter finish. Not too bad.
Combo rating between me and my wife. So I would have a tick down. Nice amber hue with odd white head. Great lacing too. Nose is spicy hops and quite generous for a pale ale. Flapcor has an initial burst of hops but not heavy. Good balance of bready malt. Really nice for a standard pale. Crit (4057) - Surrey, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 31, 2010
Hazy amber, beige head.Musty citrus nose. Citrus hop profile, medium length and strength hop bitterness in finish. Needs a touch more malt TomTiedemann (249) - Levittown, New York, USA - DEC 14, 2010
this was the first beer I tried at Black Raven. Great taproom, great beers. Nikiel (879) - Portland, Oregon, USA - NOV 27, 2010
Pours a strong golden. Sweet and aromatic with floral hops. Not the most bitter pale ale, but more bitter than the IBUs would lead one to believe.

Amber in color, clear with a thin head. Nice malt and hops balance. Light fruit flavors along with a good dry finish. This beer was easy drinking and very tasty.
Amber brown pour, rather dark for a pale ale. White foam on top. Quite bubbly, overall.Smells of biscuit, light toast, grass, earth, citrus. Tastes similar, more biscuit, toast, citrus, herbal and earthy qualities. Light bodied, but a bit heavier than I usually expect from a pale. carruthm (1400) - Seattle, Washington, USA - MAY 26, 2010
on tap at collins pub, dark orange some hops mostly plain without a strong taste one way or another OldMrCrow (2446) - Seattle, Washington, USA - MAY 8, 2010
Draft at the brewpubs.
Nice strong pawn pale aroma, and then maybe the most aggressive hop edge I’ve ever en in an APA. Tom’s adjective garlicky is ingenious. I have never thought to call a beer this before, but this one is actually garlicky. Pretty darn session able, nice beer. ericsondr (48) - Camano Island, Alabama, USA - MAR 11, 2010
Rich foamy head with a light amber color. Heavy malt flavor. Dissapates fairly cleanly but leaves a nice coating of malt behind.
