Prufrockstar (2259) - Moscow, Idaho, USA - SEP 5, 2013
Draft at Black Raven.
Aroma: Citrus, caramel. KansaiBeerLvrs (5503) - Kyoto, JAPAN - NOV 6, 2015
Appearance: Clear amber; offwhite head; irregular lacing.
Taste: Bread; biscuit; toast; citrusl/floral. Muted sweetness, moderate bitter finish.
Palate: Creamy texture, medium to full body, average carbonation.
Overall: Almost an IPA in its bitterness. I like how toasty and dry these Black Raven pales are -- it’s a recurring theme that I haven’t encountered in many other pales / IPAs.
Aside: Just made my way onto the top 50 raters from Washington. It feels right this mini-milestone was ushered in with local beer (well, as local as the east side is ... it’s a shame I can’t make it over very often, because it’s a fine brewery with a nice tasting room).
Totem pale ale Black Raven

Amber brown pour, rather dark for a pale ale. White foam on top. Quite bubbly, overall.Smells of biscuit, light toast, grass, earth, citrus. Tastes similar, more biscuit, toast, citrus, herbal and earthy qualities. Light bodied, but a bit heavier than I usually expect from a pale. AmEricanbrew (7080) - Same Trailer, Different Park, Louisiana, USA - JAN 10, 2012
Clear amber color with ivory head. Black pepper, cocoa aromas with mild orange, pale malt. Medium bodied. Honey biscuit, cocoa, orange peel, malty sweet flavors--good
