On tap @ Malt and Vine. Pours dark golden with thin head. Aroma is light hops and bready malts. Taste is crisp citrus hops with balanced caramel toasted malts. Both the hops and malt stick with you through the finish. Maybe the fact that you can only get this on draft makes this better? Either way, one of the top 2 or 3 Washington IPAs around.

12 oz can from Pilgrim’s. Canned 3/30/17, a little over two months ago. Aroma is caramel malt, earthy, pepper, bready. Pours slightly hazy burnt orange with a one finger off-white head with decent retention and some lace. Taste is medium bitter with lots of caramel malt flavor. Well, I know it’s not old at least, unlike the last beer I rated where that was debatable. I think this is just a really old school, late ’80s/early ’90s type of IPA, when caramel malt was more pronounced, hop flavor not as extreme. It’s drinkable, but I’m not crazy about it.

12 oz can, canned 8 days ago- Pours clear old golden with a nice medium white head with great retention. Aroma is spicy hops, caramel malt, moderately floral, sweetarts. The taste is again floral, solid malt base, more than i personally like honestly, sweetarts, high level bitterness. Solid beer.

Clean amber colour, small head. Aroma of malt, tropical fruits, grain, piney hops. Dry bitter taste. Fine IPA.

12oz can much thanks to Andrewje41! Pours a chill hazed golden orange color with a thick frothy white head. Aroma of older grapefruit, some herbal hops, caramel, toasted grain, tangerines, and a hint of evergreen. Taste mimics the nose with a grassy bready aftertaste. Thanks Andrew!

That’s a winner. Great weight and smooth body brightened up by a just-rough-enough bitterness that’s a pine/fruity combo that’s very tasty. Lovely bitterness too. Awesome 6 pack

Appearance: Hazy Honey Amber. Thin head of white bubbles. Nose: Pine hops. Elements of earthiness. Touch of dank. Moderate caramel malt. Dry. Taste: Pine and earth. Just a bit of funk. A bit green vegetation/reedy. Body: Medium to thinner and lively. Parting thoughts: I guess this is their “fresh hop” concept. Decent. Solid.

I loved the can--an extra point for style for the look and feel of it, the first I’ve seen with this finish. Excellent IPA qualities, and a good all-around complexion. Bright, approachable, though a bit standard. Thanks for sourcing this, Shaun!
