A great beer. But then again I like golden ales so I'm probably gonna like it. It pours a medium dark amber hue with hints of red. It's got a very wet feel to it.

floral, golden, amber, clear, white foam, medium sweetness, slightly bitter, . similar to the black sheep but better in my opinion a very very good beer Danev76 (505) - AUSTRALIA - AUG 11, 2014
Low hop aroma. Cloudy amber colour with excellent head. Very malty up front with fruit flavours, mainly passionfruit. Medium body and carbonation. nigos (631) - Ipswich, Suffolk, ENGLAND - MAR 26, 2003
Light citrusy hoppy aroma. Golden hue with a good foamy white head. Malty with citrus hints and a long refreshing bitter dry finish. A classic English pale ale. Well worthy of its "finest" label. This beer is actually exclusive to Tesco selected from the beers at the Tesco beer challenge. Pyobon (1481) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - SEP 25, 2011
(Bottle) Clear amber golden with big white head. Reasonable aroma of grassy hops. Medium body, light carbonation. Flavour characterised by hops, providing pleasant herbal hints to start with nice bitterness in the finish. Overall a very nice beer.

Deep golden colour, fizzy foamy head. Rich bready and yeasty smell, leafy, hoppy and yeasty aroma. Mild bitterness. A lovely session ale. beervis (243) - Taylor’s Country, West Yorkshire, ENGLAND - JUL 2, 2007
Black Sheep is a good brewery, and this didn’t disappoint - a clear copper pour with good white head, aroma of malt and dried fruit. Flavour has a good balance of malts and spicy hops, smooth mouthfeel, finish bittersweet and lingering. Quaffable. DruncanVeasey (8260) - Nr NUNEATON, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - DEC 6, 2007
Red amber and draped with lace. Wafts with robust hopcone sweatiness, chalk and toffee. Demerara really apparent now I’ve read the bottle, but kept in check with a big, ripe, orange-accented dose of hops. Silky, slatey, slightly floral. No-nonsense hop bitterness smoothed out with creamy, faintly chocolatey malt. Aftertaste is digestive biscuit caramel sweetness with a scatter of oats. Balanced, aromatic, tasty ale.bembelembe (219) - Zagreb, CROATIA - JAN 18, 2009

Slightly sulphurous, musty nose with hints of juicy hop, cut grass and bunnypiss (compliment). That slate-like, alkaline, chalky-maltly smoothness I associate with Sam Smith’s. Punchy hop bitterness in the finish. Creamy, drawn-out biscuity afters. Pretty decent, and a very welcome antidote to Mongozo banana ’beer’.
Fine bitter. Grassy hops, maybe too herbal. Fruity with caramel. Hazy amber color, medium-big head, medium carbonation. Smooth and dry. Long herbal-bitter aftertaste. RobBestwick (949) - Calgary, Alberta, CANADA - AUG 17, 2003
flowery/hop aroma, bronze in colour with a decent head, highly hopped with a long bitter finish, medium bodied, good pale ale.
