Bottle from a wine shop in Grassington. Pours mahogany with a thin cream head. The taste is fairly fruity with some roast notes. Mostly liquorice and treacle. The body is particularly thin for an imp. Lacking the sweetness and luxuriant feel you’d hope for with the style. Disappointing. s_hartshorne (2849) - wakefield, West Yorkshire, ENGLAND - DEC 7, 2014
Cask west riding dewsbury been cellared for a year. Black thin tan head. Aroma dark fruits roasted malts taste same some coffee decent bitter finish. Ok body thin if anything. Not the best imperial by any means. AshtonMcCobb (7101) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - OCT 29, 2014
Bottle thanks tolmyvinyl.
Appearance - opaque black with a decent crema head. But it disappears quickly.
Nose - candied sugar and liquorice. Chocolate following it in.
Taste - molasses into liquorice. Then kinda dry.
Palate - medium to full bodied with a tangy texture and a long dry and slightly abrasive texture and a long dry finish. The
Overall - decent but not for the style. Bov (13456) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - OCT 16, 2014
from Amstein - pours a very dark brown beer under a long lasting beige foam; nice lacework; roasted aroma of black chocolate and walnuts; rounded, full-bodied and tasty; quite bitter, long roasted aftertaste of ashes, black chocolate and nuts M_Sack (808) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - SEP 25, 2014
Bottle. Deep brown with cream head. Aromas of sherry soaked fruit, dark chocolate and molasses. Heavy, hot alcohol up front and throughout. Dark chocolate in the mid palate and heavily roasted malts through to the end. The flavour profile is not complex enough to stand up to the alcohol. Over carbonated. Very disappointed. A beer that had been talked up to me.

Belle couleur noire avec petite mousse beige; arômes et goût de café; un leu (trop) liquoreux; finale moyennement amère Calisky (3214) - ALSACE, FRANCE - SEP 14, 2014
Couleur noire, reflets ambrés, petite mousse beige. Nez café, malté, notes grillées, réglisse, fruits noirs, alcool. Gout malté un peu grillé, café, note douces, réglisse, fruits noirs. Fin légère et douce grillée. Jmar33 (210) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - AUG 15, 2014
Bottle. Soapy looking brown colour. Not the colour you’d expect from a stout. This must be a bad bottle because it couldn’t be further from an imperial stout if it tried. It’s the first imperial stout I’ve ever poured down the sink... AtronSeige (1827) - Johannesburg, SOUTH AFRICA - JUL 23, 2014
Aroma: Sherry, dark fruit, raisin chocolate, light alcohol, pepper, roasty, no dms, no diecetyl,
Appearance: Clear, dark red to dark brown body. Large light-brown head. good retention
Flavour: strong Raisin, alcohol warming, medium astringency, dark fruit. Medium-high bitterness, medium-light sweetness, bittersweet, coffee,
Mouthfeel: Medium-full body. medium carbonation, creamy.
Overall: A good example, but can do with a more body and more complexity from the malts. Higher mash temp will make this change to bring this beer to the 4+ range.
330 ml bottle, poured.

Light beige, small head. Caramel, roasted and apple. Like a Lindemann’s apple was mixed with a random Imperial Stout. No, thank you.
