Another fine addition to the Black Sheep Brewery range of premium bottled ales, our Holy Grail Bitter was specially commissioned to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Monty Python. It has a distinctive taste with plenty of fruity hops, and is full flavoured with a dry and refreshing bitterness.

Cthulhu (1031) - MARSHALL ISLANDS - JUL 5, 2017
50 cl At Lidl , Lisbon. The new label is amazing. The main reason I bought this one. The beer is ok

bosta (300) - SLOVENIA - JUN 2, 2017
0,5l bottle. Pours orange with small white head. Malty and a bit mettalic aroma. A bitter taste.

dcmchew (104) - Bucharest, ROMANIA - MAY 30, 2017
Shiny, clear orange, poor bit of froth, leaves some minimal lacing. Earthy hops on the nose, some faint metal, cigar box, green tree bark, raw barley, crushed flower petals. The taste has some nice buttered bread crust, a lick of caramel, a lot of grain. Gets bitter and somewhat grassy towards the finish, with stronger hints of green tobacco, dried hay and some faint cardboard. Lingering bitterness in the aftertaste, developing some copper-like notes. Medium body, smooth carbonation, a bit creamy-thick. A decent enough English bitter, but ultimately quite forgettable and lacking finesse.

wombat23 (2189) - Texas, USA - DEC 3, 2016
Shared bottle. Pours a hazy copper color with an off-white head. Aroma of mild malt, caramel, grains, hay. Taste follows nose. Not very good.

darbeer75 (1168) - Round Rock, Texas, USA - NOV 17, 2016
Aroma: malty and flat; Appearance: cloudy light amber with thin white head that disappears quickly; Taste: follows nose - both malty and flat; Palate: medium body with long, sweet finish; Overall: no need to try again.

willisread (4054) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - NOV 12, 2016
Old rating. Bottle pour. Light copper with 2 fingers of foam that dissipates. Light bready malt aromas with some faint musty citrus. Light body and clean on the palate. Some cardboard and tired malt flavors. Light bitterness on the finish. Decent enough.

ordybill (1815) - Douglasville, Georgia, USA - OCT 31, 2016
Poured from the bottle into a pint glass at the World of Beer in Pooler, GA. The appearance is a golden amber with a large white head. The aroma is big on citrus and light on hops. The taste is mild hops with no aftertaste. An average beer.

nephirem (702) - CROATIA - SEP 24, 2016
Bottle, 0.5l. Slightly cloudy copper pour with small and short lasting bubbly white head. Typical smell for the style, malts, grass, licorice. Medium body with watery texture, heavily carbonated. Moderately bitter taste with slightly fruity mouthfeel. Aroma of malts, caramel, grains, grass, hay, licorice, cardboard and alcohol. Slightly peppery on the tongue. Lasting finish, dry and moderately bitter. Overall, nothing exceptional but decent nonetheless.

Swaroga (2224) - Warszawa, POLAND - SEP 13, 2016
50cl bottle. Clear golden with medium head. Medium intensive aromas of grains, toast, flowers and some little watered down honey. Medium carbonation and watery mouth feel. The beer is dry and malty with toast like overall flavor. A bit acidity and very delicate bitterness from roasted toast and some herbs. Nothing crazy about this beer.
