Another fine addition to the Black Sheep Brewery range of premium bottled ales, our Holy Grail Bitter was specially commissioned to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Monty Python. It has a distinctive taste with plenty of fruity hops, and is full flavoured with a dry and refreshing bitterness.

A very pretty pour to a full head, snappy carbonation and a caramel color to go with a caramel aroma and a bit of green grapes in the aroma. Taste and finish are both mildly bitter. Nicely done bottle label graphics to go with a solid ale.

Bottle from Lidl, Wrekenton, Gateshead. Bright golden coloured with sweet toffee and citrus flavours followed by almond and caramel on the finish. Ok.

500ml bottle BB 25/2/2017 Fruity ester aroma with a strong hint of cardboard. Poured light amber with OK head. Mild bitterness is followed by grainy thin finish and more cardboard. Disappointing.

Floral hop aroma. Cloudy amber colour with poor head. Aromatic hop flavour with a bitter finish. Medium body and carbonation.

Pours a clear dark golden colour, with a slight head, which quickly disappears. Aroma of hops and slight fruitiness. Flavours of hops and fruit, with a slightly bitter aftertaste.

Pretty bland offering refreshing enough on a hot summers evening bottle at home from morrisons hint of orange honey

Orange to copper color, head is minimal. Floral and fruity aroma. Average bitterness, well balanced. Good but not really impressive. Too expensive.

Butelka . Miedziany kolor z mala biala piana ktora szybko sie redukuje. Slodowe aromaty i slodowo kartonowy posmak...nie jest to najlepsze piwo ale poniewaz nie chce byc rozszarpany przez biale kroliczki...bede milczal i ocenial dobrze.

Golden, white head quickly disappeared. Caramel, some bitterness, quite light. Carbonation high, light body. A joke of a beer.

R2k2 (461) - NETHERLANDS - APR 2, 2016
(drunk it with the temperature slightly above the recommended level) A nice, honey-colored ale with a firm layer of foam. It has a nice, apple sweet aroma, but without the sour part. It tastes slightly hop-bitter, with the apple touch on the background. Is leaves a dry palate, with a slightly bitter aftertaste.
