Cask Conditioned at The Forresters Arms, Grassington. Red brown chestnut colour with thick yorkshire head. Big fruity, sweet malt flavour with an alcohol kick, although the abv in the cask is a little lower at 5.6%. Good bitter dry finish, almost salty for some reason. Godd full beer. Very dark ruby brown. Coffee and maly aroma. Strong sweet malty taste. A very rich roast. The guys at the Black Sheep stand had intended to serve this with a sparkler - shocking! Svesse (8599) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - SEP 12, 2010
(Cask at GBBF London Earl’s Court, 4 Aug 2010) Dark reddish brown colour with foamy, beige head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of dried fruit, raisins, prunes, figs and sweet liquorice. Malty, fruity taste with dried fruit, raisins, prunes, dark bread, over-ripe pineapple and a good, spicy bitterness. More than medium body, with a solid malt sweetness. Well balanced and tasty, mooreish. Very nice. gegwilson (3707) - North Yorkshire, ENGLAND - DEC 14, 2014
Cask in the Forester’s Arms, Grassington. Pours chestnut with a cream head. A quite rich malty flavour with toffee, a little liquorice and coffee. A decent drop. rumore (532) - Rimini, ITALY - DEC 3, 2016
Pours black with literally no foam. Aroma is not intense, and gives terrain and some coffee. Body is tendentially light but a bit creamy and oily. Taste is balanced between sweet and bitter, with an enjoyable final bitterness.

Dark brown beer with a light head, the aroma is light and chocolatey and the flavour is deep, intense and dry. Overall a nice beer.
[Cask at Charlie’s Bar, Copenhagen] A nut brown beer with a nice long lasting brown head. The flavor is sweet fruity combined with strong notes of toffee, but also hints of hops. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel, malt, and toffee. Nice. oh6gdx (26488) - Vasa, FINLAND - AUG 29, 2007

Rubyish amber colour, big beige head. Aroma is caramel, wood, some hints of vanilla and a bit coffee. Flavour is really oaky, and wooden with some bittery and slightly roasted notes.
