Amber with staying head not much to it straight from fridge came to life a bit when it warmed some fudge burnt caramel a tad thin but fine would be a lot nicer beast on cask I suspect. Leighton (21861) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAY 3, 2017
Bottle at home in Hackney - sourced from Ocado. Pours clear burnished gold with a frothy, off-white head. Lightly toasted malts in the nose, some faint orange peel, grains, biscuits, nips of toffee. Light to medium sweet flavour with mellow leafy bitterness, more bread, lightly tasted grains, very subtle butterscotch, faint earth. Light bodied with average carbonation. Nicely balanced finish, with more toasty, bready malts, low bitterness, light leafy notes, undertones of citrus. It ain’t sophisticated, but it drinks just fine. shooun (6) - - OCT 30, 2016 does not count
500ml bottle at home. Easy drinking ale. At 5% it’s a perfect session beer and something I would gladly drink on a night out
