I really like this. Aroma is all caramel. Taste is deliciously balanced: bitter and yeast, more caramel. Rounded. Very very like the standard Black Sheep, but I think nicer. Will buy again. Nice surprise.

Leighton (20824) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAY 3, 2017
Bottle at home in Hackney - sourced from Ocado. Pours clear burnished gold with a frothy, off-white head. Lightly toasted malts in the nose, some faint orange peel, grains, biscuits, nips of toffee. Light to medium sweet flavour with mellow leafy bitterness, more bread, lightly tasted grains, very subtle butterscotch, faint earth. Light bodied with average carbonation. Nicely balanced finish, with more toasty, bready malts, low bitterness, light leafy notes, undertones of citrus. It aint sophisticated, but it drinks just fine.

In 0.5L bottle. Pours copper colored, clear. About a finger of cream colored head with very fine bubbles. Aroma is grassy and herbal. Fully body. Very sweet and fruity. Not all that bitter, actually, but lots of flavor.

Trademark slightly funk raincoat smell (this one a bit sourer) [MAINLY GOLDINGS HOPS]. Body: an initial dry body-check, slight nuttiness? [SOME DEMERARA SUGAR], then chalky fade. Aftertaste: a bit of English-bitter-style aftertaste.
