Light haze, medium amber. Kind of woody and crystal malt character. Dry and woody though not overtly sour. More in the biscuity red malt character mode. Good for that type of beer, which isn’t really my type. ajnepple (7200) - Denver, Colorado, USA - FEB 8, 2014
On tap at BSB. Light amber and clear with a completely dissipating head, no lacing. Tart, light fruity, cherry, apple, aroma. Similar flavor, bland and tangy with an average body. Meh. gmellison (428) - Colorado, USA - JAN 17, 2014
On tap at black shirt. Aroma is rotton fruit. Sickly sweet. Flavor is tart, sour, decaying fruit. Wow cubs (10721) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - JAN 17, 2014
On tap @ Black Shirt. Pours a red ruby appearance with a cream colored head. Cherry / dark grape, toasted malty, vinegar aroma. Pretty metallic, cherry, balsamic vinegar flavor. Very metallic. wade1point0 (69) - Colorado, USA - JAN 17, 2014
This is a nice sour to sip. The nose doesn’t tell your tongue what’s about to hit it, but on second taste I got butter and sour apples.

On tap at brewery May 11th. Pours copper red with small head and minimal lace. Aroma of light raspberry & apple with herbs. Low carbonation and moderate mouthfeel. Flavors of apple-raspberry spritzer, wood barrels and some astringency. Overall refreshing and tasty without much sour or funky notes or sweetness. arminjewell (9720) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - OCT 30, 2013
Pour on tap at the brewery, hazy reddish pour with thin off white head, aroma brought notes of grass, red fruit, hints of pepper, slight lemon notes, touch of wet grain in there, with a hint of nice caramel and toffee. Taste is a mix of toffee, caramel, nice slight lemon and hints of funky notes go into some pepper, spice, touch of earth, finishing slightly bitter, slightly sour. Ok. Weird looking wine glass at the brewery. Pours a nice, deep red hue like all of their beers. The nose is very floral, like an herbal tea with a fruity backdrop. Acidic sourness is prominent and clean. Palate is slick, medium full. Steady acidity throughout, giving this a drying finish. Plently of floral, herbal notes for balance and a cherry quality. Supremely sippable. Ratman197 (15462) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - APR 15, 2013
On tap at Black Shirt poured a clear reddish amber with a lingering ring of amber foam. Aromas of sour citrus, carmel and light earthiness. Palate was light bodied and smooth with a dry lightly tart finish. Flavors of carmel, earthiness, fruittiness and light spice with a smooth dry lightly tart lingering fruity finish. onceblind (10700) - Denver, Colorado, USA - FEB 24, 2013
Slightly hazy bronzen-copper with a thick and foamy light beige head. Aroma of perfumy hand soap and slightly sour blonde Belgian malts. Smooth flavor of Saison spice, toffee sweetness, bright blonde sour notes, and a smooth grainy malt body with a slight bitterness. Flavorful but also light and drinkable.
