3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draught at brew pub. Crisp pale with slightly darker than normal body. Slight sweetness to finish. No presence of yeast that marks Belgian IPA.
Pours clear but copper. Gorgeous looking. Aroma is a strong toasty malt. Taste is pretty thin. Malty. Not the off putting coppery flavor I normally encounter but it is pretty dry and not burnt. Just not a style I like much. Body is also thin. ttoadee (1534) - Austin, Texas, USA - JAN 19, 2013

Draft at the brewery. Pours a clear amber color with no head. Notes of caramel, sweet biscuits or cookies, and a little Belgian-style fruitiness. Dry mouthfeel and finish. Light body and low carbonation. Simple and good.

Light brown-copper in color with slight white head. Chewy deep malt body with hints of tootsie roll chocolate. Sweet roast malt aroma. Mora2000 (6158) - McKinney, Texas, USA - MAY 20, 2011
On tap at the brewpub.
The beer pours an orange-red color with a white head. The aroma is heavy on the candy sugar with some Belgian yeast notes as well as some toffee malt. The flavor is a mix of caramel and toffee with some yeast notes. I also get some sweetness from the candy sugar as well as a little bit of chocolate. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. pour is hazed amber with thin off white head...smell is faint with bits of cardboard and caramel...taste is grainy and sweet...thin mouthfeel and slight medicinal finish... kidmartinek (5001) - austin, Texas, USA - FEB 14, 2011
Cloudy amber, smallish white head. Grainy aroma. Pretty light.malty, but a clear presence of hops. A drinkanle amber, as most are not. Could serve as dinner if you’re really hungry.
