On tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear orange with a medium white head. Aroma of bready malt, peppery spices, anise star, light fruits. Flavor of peppery spices, anise star, Belgian yeast, jam, light fruits, hay, with a prickly, spicy finish. Solid beer, very drinkable.

Draft. Cloudy golden body. Fizzy, off-white head. Aroma of spice, clover, fruit. Hint of cherry. The flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet, lightly bitter and lightly acidic. Medium body, velvety texture, soft carbonation. Nice spice and fruit flavors. Still, not nearly enough carbonation and, like many of the saisons showing us, too sweet. A bit of an off-flavor (a homebrew "twang") coming through in the finish. My second sample was a decent saison. It didn’t have the punch or zest of many others. Even so for a local brewpub just outside Indianapolis it got the job done. I’d say it is just below average to average.
Aroma / Appearance - The mostly opaque body has the consistency of rusty tap water. Ribbons of wispy ivory head melt away. Hay, mud, and wild berries stored in an old barn soften the senses. It almost feels like being at a quiet country farm.
Flavor / Palate - Half melted Twix bars require some more work to process than anticipated. Earthy trampled hay carries into a timid finish. The start is acceptable but with little depth it does not have much to make me want a full pint.
