On cask @ Cloisters. Pours golden to amber with a light haze and a decent head. The nose has some pine and citrus, though there is a savoury/minerally note. The taste confirms the same basic notes and I learn that the savoury/mineral note is because of the low water table in Cambridge, so there is a big chalky element in the water. The palate is well balanced but this chalkiness while being individual is not necessarily that appealing. It also makes an appearance in the other beers. Overall, well made beers but not sure about the mineral element.
Bottle from Shelford Deli, Shelford. Floral aroma. Citrus punch. Bright gold, slightly hazy. Very bubbly, resulting in a big fluffy white head. Bitterness builds in intensity. A butteryness in the finish. Bitter lemon verging on quinine. Light bodied and watery. Palate rescued by the soft and lively carbonation. Abrupt finish. Decent enough. Cask at Cloisters tap takeover Nov 2012, memory banks rate. They were pretty memorable due to the brewer talking us through the water supply, and the noticeable chalky effect it had on all his beers. Cask (gravity) @ Cambridge Winter Ale Festival 2013, at the University Social Club, Mill Lane, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England CB2 1RX.
Clear medium orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted - caramel, sweet malt, light to moderate hoppy, grass. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, sweet malt, keller notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat.

Light. A bit boring, as it’s not as hopped as I like in a golden (ditto Anna). I had this in Thursday, and it was perfectly drinkable. Anna had it on Saturday, and it was a bit yeasty, perhaps it was needing a tip.
Cask conditioned gravity dispense Elysian Winter Beer Festival 2013 12/01/13. A golden beer with a white head. A superbly balanced beer. Fruits and malts. Nice citrus notes and a certain leafiness. Very easy to drink and tasty as well. Sessionable for sure.

[cask at Cloisters Bar, Edinburgh] Hazy golden amber, thin white head. Fruity on the nose, apricot, peach and pear – together with a slightly earthy bitterness. Synthetic orangey nose, cosy white head and a sunrise yellow unfiltered haze on the body. Decent swathe of peach and apricot on initial taste turning over into a milky palate and a finish that couldn’t shake the thoughts of a beer flavoured Petits Filous. The first of the night and a distinctive neat marshmallow dust dryness to the finish. Comforting and refreshing combo/trait to them all.

Cask at Cloisters. Slightly hazy golden pour, thin white foam on top. Light resinous peaches, lightly juicy hop nose. Soft peach, definite grapefruit, some lemon lime, light pine, long drying slightly sourdough finish. Not bad.
