COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Delicate and complex, yet imminently drinkable, this Abbey Singel uses the finest German malt, noble hops and a revered Trappist yeast strain. Deep straw color, firm malt backbone with earthy floral spice from both the yeast and hops.

Very easy-drinking Belgian ale, grassy and soft yet with a mellow Abbey sweetness and a firm, spicy hop finish. Straw, clove, wheat, and meadow mesh with floral hops that grow peppery and dry in the fade. Mild yeast and fruit notes underline everything, while the back end grows bready and herbal before the hops level off the pint. Belgian yeast and clove on the nose, and the boisterous texture rounds out the style. Nice.

Sampled at the Brawny Beer Festival. I kind of forgot to take notes at this because I was having too much fun, but there were a few standouts. This is one. It's a little heavier than I expect in a table beer, but it's still fairly light bodied. Plenty of sweet, fruity yeast flavors come through, and clean, crisp malts as well. Nice bit of grassy hops at the finish. Very tasty.

Draft pours golden with a white head. Aroma of spice, floral, grains and some caramel. Taste is pepper, herbal and grains

Draft at Craft Brewed. Pours a deep gold, light copper with a finger of foam that hangs around. Light funk on the nose, some grass, hay and pils malt. Quite bitter on the palate, grainy texture, peppery hops. Very rustic, old-world feel with grain, peppery hops and funky yeast.

Draft at Salud. Hazy yellow color white head. Dusty peppery aroma. Taste is funky herbal straw, lightly bitter finish. Good stuff.
