6/12/2016 -- from notes: 750ml bottle, discounted to $5 from Country Fresh Vine St. 2015 vintage. Very dark red brown color. Big airy khaki head. Fades to a ring. Strong carbonation up front. Medium--plus body. More dry finish. Dark fruit, chocolate, nuttiness, mild spiciness. Hint of coffee on the back end. Light bitterness, lighter to moderate sweet, nice mild tang. Nose is yeast esters, spice, winter cheer, toffee, nutty, straw.
Taste comprises dried fruis, strawberry liquorice, grains, spice, yeast esters, brown bread.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, seim drying close.

Bottle shared in Hackney - sourced from Beergium. Pours deep brown with a creamy, tan head. The nose holds brown bread, Belgian yeast, toffee. Light to medium sweet flavour with notes of brown bread, ripe berries, creamy toffee. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Aroma is semi sweet, nutty malts, jammy fruits, blackberry jam, wood, grape jelly. Flavour is composed of semi sweet nutty malts, jelly grape, jammy blackberry, woody. Bottle, 2016 edition. Dark brown with a medium sized light brown head with good retention and regeneration. Very pleasant nose with dark bread, rye bread, light burnt sugar and wood. The flavour follows the nose with dark bread, rye bread, burnt sugar, twigs and light nuts. Mild sweet and light to medium bitter. Long finish with dark malts, brad and burnt sugar. Malty yet light. Nice.

750mL bottle, pours black with lots of sediment and a large tan head. Aroma brings out lots of earthy notes, spicy yeast, and some a little nutmeg. From the tap at FOB, Rimini, Italy. Pours almost black with cream-colored foam. Aroma is toasted barley and slightly balsamic and acetic. Body is medium, with some stickiness. Taste has limited sweetness and bitterness but also some sourness. The bitterness is soil, not from citrus feeling. Finish is long and "weird", in the dense that it leaves an aftertaste that I struggle to identify, maybe consistent with that balsamic/acetic aroma. drowland (9209) - Georgia, USA - APR 13, 2017
11/5/16. On tap at Sweetgrass. Dark dark brown pour under a fluffy tan head, good lacing. Nice aroma, complex, if not a bit odd, mild funk, esters, but also hints of chocolate, dark fruits, honey.
