pours amber with a off white head. Aroma of citrus, malt, and pine. Taste is the caramel malt and a nice citrus hops. theisti (4126) - Kansas, USA - MAY 21, 2013
12 oz bottle courtesy of Suttree. Best Before May 2013 Week 3 notched on the label. The pour is very slightly hazed orange golden with a 1 ½ inch light tan head, which is quite lasting. The aroma is soft citrus fruit hops, lightly resin floral, along with a mineral cracker malt. The taste is resin cracker malt up front, moving quickly to the floral citrus fruit hop. Finish is mineral and dry. As the beer warms, both the aroma and taste reveal a decent amount of pine. The palate is medium bodied, unfiltered natural mouth feel and the dry finish. Nice IPA, would love to try fresh on draft. Thanks for sending this my way, Phil. SpringsLicker (3638) - Tennessee, USA - JUL 9, 2013
Cloudy dark orange body that throws up a tall off-white head.
Hop aroma of grapefruit and pine resin.
Solidly bitter flavor profile. The malt sweetness is there in a support role, but the hop bitterness has this well checked.
Bravo for Blackstone. The best beer I’ve had from them. NachlamSie (3481) - Denver, Colorado, USA - JUL 20, 2013
UPDATED: JUL 22, 2013 12 oz. from Downtown Wine & Spirits. Pours orange with a thick white head and dense lacing. The aroma is sharply hoppy and resinous. It?s pine forward with citrus notes secondary. The palate is viscous, almost feels like a double IPA in the mouth. Bitterness is long and residual with notes of grass, herbs, and just a little melon. Good solid IPA. Ed5388 (3478) - Forked River, New Jersey, USA - JUL 5, 2013
12oz bottle. Pours a hazy golden copper color with a huge foamy off white head. Aromas of caramel, citrus, and apricot. Taste is sweet caramel, citrus, apricot, and bitter grapefruit on the finish.
