Aroma: Roasted nut, burnt caramel
Appearance: Dark brown with thin tan head
Taste: Seems slightly more bitter than most brown ales
Palate: Medium bodied with lively carbonation. Seems fizzier than other brown ales I’ve tried.
Not a bad brown ale, but I will probably stick with Rogue Hazelnut Brown Nectar or even Newcastle, if given a choice. rondphoto (4448) - Lakeside Park, Kentucky, USA - APR 2, 2013
Clear medium amber, long-lasting rim-head, narrow bands of lace. Taste begins with caramel malt, grows through palate, adding chocolate touched with vanilla in the palate, finishing with slight bittering. Drinkable, but not typical of the normal sessionable browns. fluffy (2472) - St Petersburg, Florida, USA - MAR 17, 2013
not a real interesting nut brown as these goes, but completely passable. reminds me of Tommyknocker or Breckenridge, one of those blase brewers’ nut brown ales. decent but nothing special. Itzjerm (2869) - Taft, Tennessee, USA - FEB 23, 2013
No aroma no head. Thin in body but not horrible. Nutty flavor. Won't get again.
