Pumpkin beer dates back to colonial times. Quality malt was difficult to find them and it was even rumored that several founding fathers were known to brew beer with pumpkin. Our version has a mild pumpkin flavor and a delicate spice character that rounds out to a slightly sweet finish.

An incredible autumn beer, full of flavor without any bitterness left behind. The perfect beer for the best of seasons.

On cask at Craft Brewed, Nashville TN with PVW chips added this gives the beer a completely different profile, adding the PVW chips adds some coconut some heat and takes the edge off the spice.. really a nice beer, though i’m rating it lower to not artificially bias the beer as I cannot confirm if the base beer uses PVW chips.

12oz bottle. Pours a bronze amber with a thin layer of white. Aroma is a very nice pumpkin with just a touch of spice. Delicious pumpkin flavor without the overwhelming spice. I think I needed to try this on a few occasions to really appreciate this.

Bottle. Orange in color. Has a quickly disappearing, soda-like head. Has some floaties. Aroma is spicy, but light. Flavor has a "pie-crust", nutty finish that most pumpkin ales don’t have making this one better than most.

Light, spicy, and crisp. Not a huge pumpkin flavor presence, but a ton of pumpkin pie spice. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle 12fl.oz.

Clear medium orange amber colour with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, cinnamon, nutmeg, pumpkin spices. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, pumpkin - pumpkin spices, cinnamon. Quit balanced - special think of that it is a spiced beer. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20121128]

Not sure why it is shitbagged. It tastes exactly like pumpkin pie. Isn’t that the sole reason for this style even existing?

Bottle @ Home. Pours golden with a small white head. Aroma of malt, cinnamon, spice, fruit. Flavor is sweet with malt, sweet fruit, loads of cinnamon. Thin body, lively carbonation. Wellbrewed, but to much spice for me. 281112

Bottle:   Amberish, slightly dark and dirty, some sediment floats about, mild to moderate sandy head, little lacing, little carbonation.   Soft spicy nose, cinnamon and nutmeg.   Pretty straight forward on the tongue with the aformentioned spices.   A little mealy, but not bad.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Finishes clean, a little malty, soft spices linger.   Touch of honey maybe.   Solid example, nothing out of the ordindary but clean and a good example of the style.   Does have a bit of a spiced candle like flavor that lingers well after the finish.
