My dad loves these so I got him a 750ml to split. Best before: 22/02/10.
Pours with a small white head that quickly dissipates. Color is definitively more vibrant than most Witbiers and is that summery looking bright gold/yellow.
Smells overwhelmingly of orange peel with a hint of spices and yeast.
Nice mouthfeel on this one, nice and prickling carbonation, light body, the beer style of summer. The orange is subdued in the taste replaced with a healthy serving of tart lemons. Subtle spices of corriander and liquorice and bitter orange peel tag along towards the end. Ends with a moderately dry finish.
It would be decently drinkable, the sourness gets tiresome for me personally after a while, the 4.5% alcohol makes it an ideal session brew for those who enjoy the tartness and at just over 6.00 for a 750ml it is not a bad alternative to similar priced beers such as Blanche de Bruxelles. Although it has alot more bite than other belgian wits I have tasted.
Overall a good summer session beer, not anywhere near the best in the wit category but worth a try for comparison and from my dad "5 outta 5". seritomi (363) - Budapest, HUNGARY - FEB 17, 2011
Egészen világos, szalmasárga szín. Nem kristálytiszta de nem is ködös, nem zavaros. Erős édes szőlő illat (talán Irsai).
Íze vékony nem testes, savas keserűség végül citromos utóíz.
Nem is rossz! wlajwl (7013) - Quad Cities, Iowa, USA - FEB 6, 2011
Between Blue Moon and Hoegaarden in almost every way as far as rating, decent wit, but could do much better. Prokroustis (745) - Thessaloniki, GREECE - JAN 12, 2011
Pale yellow colour, big fizzy head. Light citric aroma, strong lemon hint. Full but light mouthfeel with plenty carbonation. Extra citric flavour, orange and lemon dominate. Wolfbass (1190) - Firenze, ITALY - JAN 12, 2011
Ma io non sono molto d’accordo perchè penso che questa sia in assoluto una delle peggio witbier che abbia assaggiato...

On tap at Ma Che Siete Venuti a Fà, it is the most light and refreshing Belgian beer I prefer mostly on summer. As matter of fact it is nothing complex and very easy to drink, but it is good. It has a very fade and bright (close to white) golden colour, low head and it remembers me a weizen. Spicy, with citrus taste, it’s also very refreshing. madmitch76 (25383) - , Essex, ENGLAND - JAN 10, 2011

A crisp wheat beer. Orange and lemon traces. Dry finish. Refreshing if served very cold!
Aroma: Spicy, yeasty, fruity, clove. Minimal head. Taste is sour, no bitterness and watery. Light body and lively carbonation. Overall too thin and watery. Hugerat (452) - somerville, Massachusetts, USA - JAN 4, 2011
Pale milky blond color with nice billowy head. Yeast and citrus on the nose. Flavor is citrus like lemon or bitter orange peel. Nice and spicy from the coriander. Nice long lingering slightly sour finish and not overly yeasty. Very nice. hrabren (1366) - Zagreb, CROATIA - JAN 2, 2011
Bottle, 0.75 l. Pale yellow with a clear white head. Aroma wasn’t very confident, but taste is good, typical for a wit, with a bit more lemon. Refreshing and easy to drink. No special finish. A very nice beer, although a little unbalanced.
