Cloudy pale yellow colour with an off white head. Light sweet and citric aroma with fruity and yeasty notes. Bland fruity sweet flavor with a light dry and citric finish. bb (9789) - Alamo, California, USA - JAN 17, 2007
Bottle. Pale yellow beer with a white head. Low wheat, citrus, spice aroma. Orange citrus flavor with wheat, spice, and yeast. LIngering citrus. Wheat a bit much (but I don’t like a big wheat bite - then again, it IS a wheat beer...). joergen (29353) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JAN 7, 2007

75 cl bottle. Cloudy yellow colour with a huge off-white head. Nice little sour aroma of orange, coriander and wheat. Light flavour of wheat and yeast, that ends up spicy finsish of citrus and coriander. Have a very light body and a lot of carbonation.

I wanted to like this beer named the same as the state capital of Iowa. From a 750 ml bottle. The body poured light yellow with a nice amount of cloudiness. There was also a large white head on top. The aroma has some crisp orange peel and a little bit of apples. The taste is fairly tart with some mild oranges and a little bit of cheddar cheese. This is strange and needs some spice to balance out the fruit. This has a thin body and is not a good wit. dolemike1 (1289) - Jeannette, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 19, 2006
Hazy yellow, white head, coriander and citrus nose, flavor is spicy, coriander and more citrus, as well as some yeast. Pretty good. GregClow (3402) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 9, 2006
Bottle sample at Union Beer Trade Tasting, NYC. Hazy gold with a small white head. Nice yeast and spice on the nose. Good active mouthfeel. Flavours are pretty standard for the style - citrus, spice, coriander. Nothing out of the ordinary, just a well done Wit. JK (6330) - St. Louis Park, Minnesota, USA - SEP 1, 2006
UPDATED: SEP 2, 2006 I’m going to go against the grain on this beer. I thought it was very good and comparable to St. Bernardus. Aroma has coriander and other spices, citrus, and sweet wheat. Flavor is sour; more coriander, grapefruit, and some sugar. Considerable spice in this beer; more than many wit beers. Cloudy gold appearance with a thick white head. Medium palate. Tasted at Cellars; Roseville, MN. bluevegie (3073) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - AUG 30, 2006
Pale, hazy, straw / lemon coloured body with large white head showing decent retention. Aroma of lemons that may have been a bit off also some coriander. Notes of wheat in the taste and mainly the citrus again but not too much else, light in body with an average finish. I usually like the Witbier style but I feel a bit let down by this one.
