3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On draft @ The Comet. Obvious rye flavor on the palate. More hops than i was expecting out of this brew. I liked it!
Draft sample at the source. The beer is a clear gold with a white head of foam. Spices, grain, and honey make up the aroma. Sweet and spicy taste. Medium body and high carbonation. tmongoose (2504) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - FEB 5, 2017
draft sampler that poured a clear golden yellow with no head. the aroma is traditional saison with spice/pepper. almost thought it was a pepper saison but this one is different with the addition of the rye. that in itself gives it a soft spice added to the pepper with the traditional soft flavor of the saison. another solid beer from blank slate. Draft. One of the best American Saisons I have had in awhile. As it warms, this beer gets awesome. Don’t judge it by the first sip, but rather the last sip (I am trying to wax philosophy and shit). Itzjerm (2871) - Taft, Tennessee, USA - SEP 15, 2014
A very impressive Belgian farm house. Aroma is amazing peach yeast and taste. Good carb with a sweetness. Nice in general amazing is rye the secrete?

Draft from notes. Pours a hazy golden amber color with a small white head. The aroma and flavor have grass, bready malts, peppercorns, mild spicy rye with a hint of yeast and herbal notes. Carries some sweetness at times.

Draft sample at Listermann Oktoberfest. Pours a cloudy, bright golden color with a finger of soft bone white head. The rye, grassy and spicy hops, and citrus are a bit overwhelmed here by the big, bready, sweet malts and sugary dough. Light-medium bodied, with a sweet, bready mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. Not bad, but not my favorite take on a saison. Chudwick (3219) - Taylor Mill, Kentucky, USA - MAR 1, 2013
Draft - pours pale yellow with white head. Flavor is malty like a malt liquor. No what I expected, but the bartender did just confirm t was the right beer. As it warms I get more of the saison qualities of yeast and wheat. Much better now. Mostly sweet. Medium body. DrSilverworm (9671) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - SEP 12, 2012
Sample on tap at Cincy Beerfest. Mildly hazy golden / amber color. Little off-white head. Super nice rye aroma hits you right away. Good orange citrus aroma. Very tasty. More crisp carbonation. Dry finish. Awesome moderate bitter taste, nice roasty rye malts. Excellent beer that I want to gulp down, but am savoring instead. b3shine (8878) - Indiana, USA - AUG 23, 2012
Draft to pint at Lavomatic. Looks good; a cloudy orange with thin white lacing. Smells solid; sweet and doughy. Tastes like it smells, but with notes of rye present as well. Good on the palate. Good beer, and a nice example of the style. Tmoney99 (14503) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - AUG 11, 2012
Draft. Poured a clear copper color with an average fizzy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate rye malt and yeast aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy tingly bittersweet flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate duration. My expectation where exceeded.
