“Obviously Hoppy – Definitively Blatant”

Hoppy… obviously. BLATANT INDIA PALE ALE (IPA) is reminiscent of the hop profiles of those beers brewed by our West Coast friends, but represents the enormous pride of our East Coast roots. Full of hops and a subtle cereal grain backbone, this definitively BLATANT brew will demand the attention of the senses: the aroma, the flavor, the finish. Don’t look any further, this is your new favorite. BE BLATANT!

Note: Formerly brewed at Hyland Orchard & Brewery. Now brewed at Opa Opa Brewing (Brewmaster’s Tavern) in Williamsburg, MA.

Can. Cambridge Supreme LQ. Pours super hazy golden with vanishing white head. Nose is guava paste. Flavor is perfumey. Interesting IPA - There’s definitely a shitton of hops in it.

Fruity aroma. Lighter orange with heavy thickness, looks like a hefe. Smooth start and mildly bitter finish ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Wow is this bad. It tastes like cigarette ash soaked in urine. Gross. The can reads heavily hopped. How about rewording that to heavily smoked. Nasty beer and I have 5 left to drink. I do not write negatively often, so if I'm doing so now it's due to an under performing brew. Take the recipe back to the table and rethink it bro. What is blatant about this ? It's not good. Just rename it not good IPA ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Heavy, lasting foam with lots of lacing sits atop a hazy light gold. Aroma is fantastic - loaded with pine. Hops hit pretty hard initially, then some malt smooths things out mid-sip. Finishes a bit bitter, but wanting more. Not bad, but a little boring other than the great smell.

This 22 oz bottle was sent to me courtesy of Strykzone. Poured a cloudy orange color with ad off-white head. Excellent lacing. Nose of citrus hops and some fruit. The body is is medium and the mouth feel smooth. The flavor lis a good balance between malts and hops not true of many IPAs. The tropical fruit flavors and citrus are also well balanced. The finish is a nice bitter and the flavors hang on the back of your tongue. Very drinkable ands enjoyable. Really good.

22 oz bottle. Orange golden pour with a medium frothy off white head. Aroma of vanilla, bread and malt. Surprisingly full bodied with a slight hoppy finish. Nothing really stands out, but its drinkable.

Pours from a bottle a turbid straw, with many small particles. Aroma hits with a strong citrus and pine. Flavor is a sort of thin, one-dimensional hoppiness, but at least its a good hoppiness. Palate is a little thin, falling off toward the end with a mild pleasant bitterness but no lasting mouthfeel. S’okay.

Bomber. Virtually all of the glass was foam on the first pour. It slowly faded. I smell classic west coast hops that include tropical and citrus. It is a sweeter aroma. Those are tasted along with floral notes. Melons and honeysuckle. Malts generally stay back but move to the front in the finish and include a little caramel. This is a soft and gentle beer and the hops are not in your face. It is nicely understated.

This is for the double. Very malt forward in taste and smell, more so than I would have expected based on experience with the 1x IPA. The alcohol is there but covered by the malt. Long lingering hoppy bitterness. Okay, but not my style. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
