Slightly bitter with a touch of wet hay. Does that sound bad? Its actually quite refreshing with a touch of complexity.

Very pale clear yellow and huge white head. Very fresh citrussy aroma and I think a faint hint of blue cheese (?), some phenolic spiciness (coriande) and estery fruitiness (banana). Really awesome powerfull yet complex aroma! The taste is lightly sweet, lightly acidic and medium bitter with acidic, dry and bitter finish. Great balance. Lots of carbonation which works great with the beer. Awesome beer!

La Vermontoise is beautiful in its rustic simplicity. It pours yellow, frothy, and effervescent. Aromatics reveal a careful balance between earthy and dank with notes coming from both Belgian yeast and Amarillo. Funky flavor with some touches of musty fruit. Peppery spiciness toward the end and just a little bitter hop juice. The hops may be American, but the overall taste is about as Belgian as you could want.

Bottle. A- Jungle wetness, mildew, funky. A- Gold color, clear liquid, white head. T- Funk, spices, slightly acidic. P- Light body, effervescent texture, high carbonation, funky finish. O- Weird aroma. Reminds me of that humid jungle smell. Odd, but I like it. Taste was as expected and the body was a little light and too carbonated. I would really like to see how this ages.
