Sampled during CBC 2013. Hazy golden pour with a nice off-white head. Lightly funky aroma, farmhouse yeast, spicy and estery, dry and fruity, some doughy raw grain character. Nice flavor, fruity and dry, a touch of spice and banana, lemon, light funk, doughy pale malts and wheat. Tasty.

750 ml bottle into tulip glass, no bottle dating. Pours slightly hazy pale golden/straw color with a 2 finger foamy white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big lemon, tangerine, pear, apple, white grape, citrus zest/peels, peppercorn, herbal, grass, hay, straw, musty funk, wheat, cracker, light honey, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/spicy/funky yeast, citrus hops, and light-moderate pale malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big lemon, tangerine, pear, apple, white grape, citrus zest/peels, peppercorn, herbal, grass, hay, straw, musty funk, wheat, cracker, light honey, and yeast earthiness. Large amount of yeast spiciness and light-moderate herbal/citrus peel bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, tangerine, pear, apple, white grape, citrus zest/peels, peppercorn, herbal, grass, hay, straw, funk, wheat, cracker, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy/funky yeast, citrus hops, and light-moderate pale malt flavors; with a great malt/bitter/spiciness balance; and zero astringent flavors after the finish. High carbonation and medium body; with a very smooth, crisp, clean, dry, and fairly grainy/bready/sticky balanced mouthfeel that is awesome. A bit prickly/foamy, but not overwhelming. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 6%. Overall this is an awesome saison! All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy/funky yeast, citrus hops, and light-moderate pale malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, clean, and refreshing to drink. Awesome yeast complexity with complementing hop flavors; and a solid malt backbone. A highly enjoyable offering.

Bottle from Stowe Liquors. Potent fruity aroma with limes, strawberries, and pineapple. Cloudy yellow under eternal meringue. Sweet pilsner malt that finishes dry and takes one on a fruity journey from lime pith to pineapple. Very low bitterness, smooth, high carbonation.

UPDATED: FEB 3, 2017 Bottle at Netnigenough. Cloudy golden color with big white head. Aroma is peppery yeasts, dough, barnyard, rustic, earthy. Taste is the same again, with a nice earthy hop bite. Silky mouthfeel. Very nice. It has some of the rustic Belgian Saison magic.

Aroma:
Medium/heavy aroma of malts, Belgian yeast, fruit, grain, hops, citrus and spices.

Appearance:
Turbid/opaque yellow/golden beer with slight yeast and with a large/huge white/off-white head.

Taste/Palate:
Starts medium sweet with malts, Belgian yeast and fruit; ends slightly bitter and dry with grain, hops, citrus and spices.

Overall:
This beer is rather intense, complex and balanced. This has almost everything a Saison needs, but misses some funky brettanomyces. Extremely refreshing and tasty; mellow and balanced. Man, I could drink thos for days on end.

Bottle at home. Huge fluffy head that leaves thick chunks of Belgian Lace. The aroma is funk, barnyard, dried apple, warm sourdough bread. The flavor is grassy, funk, bready, some apple and pear, white pepper. Dry finish. Outstanding if you appreciate funky saisons.

750mL bottle. Pours a hazy straw yellow with a large foamy white head. Aroma is clove, grass, lemon, and yeast. Taste is initially pear, bready malt, light clove, and yeast, before turning into light pepper and a grassy bitterness. Dry finish. Subtly lingering yeast spice. Medium body. Lively carbonation. Crisp but coating body.

Huge white frothy head. Excellent lacing. Mostly diminishing. Light-yellow average-density flat body. Aroma: moderate yeasty, pome fruit, clove, vanilla. Initial flavor: moderate sweet (fruity-pear). Final flavor: moderate sweet light bitter (hoppy, fruit peel); long duration. Palate: light medium body, watery/oily texture, lively carbonation, metallic finish. Fruity taste also reminds of white wine. Delicious.150s

W smaku wytrawne, lekko owocowe - głwnie brzoskwinia. Są też nuty zbożowe, drożdżowe, nieco przypraw. Piwo jest dość delikatne, średnio nagazowane. Pije się lekko i przyjemnie.
