La Moneuse is named for A. J. Moneuse (b. 1768), a famous local bandit and gang leader, and ancestor of the brewers family. It is a classic "saison" beer by virtue of its strength and its earthy, aged quality. It has a hardy, semi-dry malt character, a fresh but not overpowering hoppiness, abundant yeasty, fruity flavors and a fairly strong, but pleasant and enticing mustiness.

750ml bottle (Pothouse, Tallinn)
Lovely fruity aroma, some tropical fruits, lychee, a touch of fresh lemonade. Hazy orange, lively frothy head. Palate rather light, carbonation a bit high. Lovely light fruity malts in the taste, clean for a saison, rather nice. Finish fruity, lychee, orange and lemon. No sign of 8% at all. Overly fizzy, otherwise great.

Huge rocky frothy offwhite head. Excellent lacing. Mostly diminishing. Flat thick amber body. Aroma: light malty, caramel, light hoppy, citrus lemon, green grape, apple, alcohol. Initial flavor: light sweet acidic. Final flavor: light sweet acidic bitter; average duration. Palate: light medium body, dry texture, lively carbonation, metallic light astringent and alcoholic finish. mdio-alto dulor frutado diferenciado, mais saboroso que da mdia. Paladar limpo, refrescante. 170 s
