COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Quad is brewed using a touch of chocolate malt, a liberal portion of special B, and candy sugars made in house. Although the malt and hops do contribute substantially to the final product, the complexity of flavors could never be achieved without the trappist strain of yeast. Expect deep malty notes with raisin, fig, and other spicy characteristics that are difficult to explain.

Bottle shared by bhensonb. Pours orange copper with a thick beige head and a chocolate and candi sugar aroma. There is a hearty caramel malt flavor featuring figs and some kind of spice. A little chocolate too with a warm alcohol trail.

Bomber from Bruisin Ales. Pours brown with a beige/tan head. Aroma of musty wood and mixed dark fruits. I know it’s not BA, but it seems like it. Med body and maybe better. Flavor is sweet light treacle, dark fruits, chocolate, some Kandi maybe, and in the finish anise! Wow. What a beer.

It pours dark brown with a slightly tan head. There are aromas of raisins and figs with some bread. It is rather raisin and sweet with some fig and moderate spices with blended bread elements. It does have a certain sherry-like quality. It has a dry finish with alcohol warming that is smooth. It is medium bodied. Overall a bit sweet but full of complex fruit and malt with smooth alcohol warming.

Tastes Belgian which is actually difficult to pull off for many us brewers. Strong raisin flavors like a typical quad with decent abv sting. Well balanced but not excellent.

Hazy brown pour with a tan head. Aroma is thick caramel, and a hint of booze. Taste is thick and malty with dark fruit, and some booze. Heavy, but good.

A huge yeasty raisin beer. Pours pretty red brown with a thin circle of beige head. Tons of dark fruit sweet throughout but not cloying. Excellent finish. Sweetness slowly fades while spicy yeast notes rise. Stands up with the best if the Belgian-brewed quads.

A very good quad. Great nose and appearance. The yeast character is classic Belgian and the aroma follows. Taste is fabulous, My overall impression is that this is a great Belgian style beer and that this brewery is only going to accomplish great things.
