On tap @ brewery. Smooth and dangerously easy to drink. Better fresh than when taken home in growler. evolnex (1) - Kansas, USA - DEC 26, 2014 does not count
First time out. It’s a heavy beer that doesn’t look like a heavy beer or taste like one. Dickinsonbeer (5074) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - JAN 10, 2010
GABF 09. Pours a clear bright copper light orange with a thin white lasting head- some lace. Aroma is sweet light caramel malts, bready big toasted decocted malts, vienna nutty sweetness, honey and floral light hops. Flavor is also dominated by big toasty sweet malts, bready doughy light hop balance and clean crisp and easy drinking. Well done. tjthresh (1875) - Greenfield, Indiana, USA - JUL 22, 2007
On tap at the brewpubads135 (4923) - Omaha, Nebraska, USA - FEB 10, 2014
Golden with some white head. Good pilsner malt aroma with some herbal notes. Lightly sweet with a crisp bitterness. Medium body. Really nice.
A very nice maibock. Honey, fruit, citrus, and nice bready malt backbone. Crisp finish.

Pours a mostly translucent golden with a smaller bubbly white head. Aroma of Cheerios, fresh cut grass...aroma is light. Flavor of Cheerios, oats, light citrus. Realizing its hard to describe a maibock. All I know for sure is this one is well done. Travlr (25748) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - AUG 9, 2015
Draft at GTMW 2015. Clear golden yellow color, fluffy white head. Nice aroma of freshly cut haystacks doused with black pepper. Taste is fresh hay and peppery straw. Better than some of the maibocks I had in Germany last May. Gregis (1281) - Stilwell, Kansas, USA - SEP 7, 2007
The menu says that this one won a gold medal in 2006, and it was one of the two best beers available during my visit 9/3/07. It pours a clear gold and was served with just a wisp of whitish head. Nice, sweet, bready malts are on the nose along with faint alcohol note (odd on a beer with this ABV, but not significant). Medium-bodied and slight with a light alcohol warmth at the end. Again I’d figure the ABV a bit higher, but it certainly doesn’t detract from the experience. The flavor is round, sweet, caramel and biscuity malts with just a trace of fruity hops to balance things out. Light alcohol and a faint bubble gum round out the flavor profile. This is very solid Maibock and made the visit worthwhile by itself. swoopjones (7020) - Buffalo, New York, USA - SEP 28, 2009
